  1. Add Copies field in Transform Each dialog

    Transform effect dialog looks a lot like Transform Each dialog.
    Perhaps Transform Each should get the same Copies field that the effect’s dialog has, to avoid hitting/holding Ctrl+D and to be able preview the result like the effect allows.

  2. Image Trace needs 'Simplify' option we can disable

    Image Trace is still not functioning properly. The 'Simplify' feature is still missing. Forcing Simplify should not be allowed.

  3. Add 'bold/heavy' and 'italic/oblique' and similar features to the Font filter options.

    I'm sitting here designing a character for my current comic, and part of this task involves deciding which font works best for their dialogue. Or which font family; I need to have at least one option for emphasis. Maybe two, bold and italic kind of imply different tones of voice.

    I have a lot of fonts that are parts of families and have italic/oblique/bold/heavy/black variants. I also have variable fonts that include weight and angle/*****/etc sliders. And I also have a lot of fonts that have none of these options.

    It would be very helpful if I could tell Illustrator…

  4. Illustrator and Photoshop show fractional CMYK color values differently

    I have a CMYK document, and it has a linked image in it, with an intentionally chosen profile, with some specific colors set for the background, and these have to be the part of the background, because of blending modes used.
    Now I need to grab those colors form the clear parts of the background to quickly transfer them into vector part of the design. But when I try — Ai lies about values.

    Instead of
    70-15-0-0
    0-35-85-0
    0-95-20-0
    I get
    69.8-14.9-0-0
    0-34.9-85.1-0
    0-94.9-20-0

    Not much, right? Just 0.2%, why are you mad?
    But these would be enough to break…

  5. Allow to quickly change stroke units directly from Stroke panel

    Currently, the stroke unit can be adjusted via the Preferences > Units > Stroke settings. It would be extremely helpful if this setting could also be made accessible directly from the Stroke panel as a shortcut.

    Being able to quickly switch between measurement units is particularly important for us during production workflows. Therefore, we kindly ask you to consider adding a shortcut to the Stroke panel for easier access to unit settings.

  6. Allow editing of text content in dynamic symbol instances

    When creating dynamic symbols, there can be some changes to individual instances, however, the text content is static. If you need multiple instances of the same symbol, but with different text content, the only way to achieve that is to break the symbol link before editing; future style updates to the symbol will not be inherited. Sometimes the intended behaviour can be achieved through Character or Paragraph Styles, but if the symbol also includes non-text objects, that is no longer an option.

    It would be great if text content for instances of dynamic symbols could be changed dynamically.

  7. Display Active Modifier-Key Command on Screen when holding Control, Shift, or Alt

    When holding down any combination of Ctrl, Shift, or Alt, Illustrator should display on-screen text indicating which command is being invoked.

    Moving or duplicating artboards requires the artboard toolbar to be selected, and then Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys to be held at once in order to drag a duplicate artboard parallel to the original. A simple on-screen text saying "Drag artboard, Drag parallel, Drag with Contents" or similar would help users intuitively understand which hot‑key action is being triggered, especially when working with multiple modifier keys where memorization can be challenging.

  8. Reduce the preview quality of the view to improve rendering speed and avoid performance degradation, which is necessary in complex documents

    Performance severely declines when there are many paths in the document, which is quite frustrating. Hiding some layers and using a high-performance GPU for rendering the view does not completely resolve the issue. I hope a feature can be added to improve rendering efficiency by reducing the preview quality of the view. Additionally, I have noticed that performance tends to degrade more significantly at smaller view scales, while it improves somewhat when the view is zoomed in. I am unsure if this is a bug

  9. Add Biology & Scientific Diagram Tools for Easy Cell and Medical Illustrations

    As an illustrator specializing in biology, microbiology, and scientific educational diagrams, I often find it time-consuming and challenging to create natural-looking cells, organelles, biological textures, and clean labels within Adobe Illustrator. To improve workflow and accuracy, I propose that Adobe adds a dedicated set of toolbar tools designed specifically for biological and scientific illustrations, focusing on ease of use, organic shapes, and diagramming features.

    Suggested Tools Include:

    Organic Blob Tool: Create irregular, smooth cell shapes with adjustable wobble and roundness.

    Cell Chain Tool: Draw linked cells or bacteria chains with customizable spacing and size.

  10. Make Path Direction Attribute editable for non compound paths too

    In vector graphics, every path har a direction. This direction has major influence in several situations, suchs as variable width strokes, object on path, and compound paths. Unfortunattely the path direction can only be accesses/changed when the path is part of a compound path. Please make the attributen changeable for every path.

  11. Please add virtual sliders for Rotate values for Objects on Path

    Great new tool, Objects on Path. Unfortunately, the UI for rotating the Objects is not very smooth. We can choose preset angles via a dropdown, or type numbers. Why not add virtual sliders, just like Photoshop? This is so much more intuitive in a design process.

  12. Bring back the ability to make Picture Clipping Files!

    In illustrator you used to be able to drag any art in illustrator to your desktop and it would create a .pictclipping file.

    The file would then be a ready to use symbol or pice of art preserve spot colors, Layers, Grouping, Overprint, Any Attributes! It's simple and easy to use and so easy to share with my coworkers! More importantly, because of how simply it operates, better than the current library/symbols functions. I don't understand why they would phase it out.

  13. Add Option to Save Both Editable and Outlined Text PDFs Simultaneously

    As a graphic designer, I often need to provide clients with both editable and outlined text versions of my work. Currently, this requires manually saving two separate files: one with editable text and another with text converted to outlines.

    I propose adding a feature in Adobe Illustrator's "Save As PDF" dialog that allows users to check an option like:

    "Would you like to save two versions of this file? (Editable text and Outlined text)"

    Upon selection, Illustrator would automatically generate:

    filename_editable.pdf

    filename_outlined.pdf

    This enhancement would streamline the workflow, reduce the risk of errors, and save valuable time for designers.

  15. Editable text in dimensions

    Please let designer edit the text inside the dimensions. Sometimes for mockup purpose is not possible to set a proper scale and if you place a dimension obviously the size has to be changed. Now you need to expand the aspect to let the text be editable. It would be great if the text can be editable by default.
    There is no worries for people with right scales since the value will be correct, but it will be a smart edit for others who have to change it.

  16. Allow Illustrator documents to re-link to its shared-for-review Creative Cloud document if the link becomes broken

    Sometimes a document that's been shared for review through the Creative Cloud will lose its connection to the local file. Sometimes because you've tried to create a new iteration, renamed the file, or sometimes it just happens for unknown reasons. When this occurs, it would be helpful to be able to reconnect them so that the review process continues with the same link to the end of the project.   17. Thumbnails in Layers always show full previews even when outline mode for the layer is toggled

    This is relatively new within recent Ai upgrades.

    Can we please revert back to preview mode ONLY for layer thumbnails regardless of how we view the layer on the artboard. This was changed recently. Why? If you choose to make changes like this, please make it an optional preference, as long time users probably don't like these changes.

    Can we get additional features to handle Preview Only Text?

    • A Highlight Preview Only text feature similar to the Highlight Substituted Fonts Preference?

  19. Rotate Artboards

    Enable artboards to be rotated individually. Simple. Here's an example of my currently workflow: if I have a large map with a winding road in illustrator, and I want each of my 5 artboards to be aligned with that road, I have to make rectangles where I wish the artboards could be, and then make the actual artboards encompass the rectangle. Then I export as an image, and rotate and crop in Photoshop to match the rectangle.   20. Add Image Trace presets for QR codes and other barcodes

    One of the most common issues I have is receiving QR codes or barcodes from a customer as low-resolution JPEGs or PNGs. Asking customers to understand which formats from online generators are vector formats is always an issue.

    While I know I can technically regenerate the QR code with an online generator, it feels like a natural extension of the existing Image Trace function to be able to recognise QR codes or barcodes and to snap the vector artwork to a proper grid.

    This could be implemented with something like "snap points to 90° angles" or something, but I think…
