1. Cannot process the 3D effect, the message says the object has too many spot colors

   I've been getting an error message (see attached file), followed by a complete lockup. The thing is, the object only has 2 colors.

2. Transform Each for groups

   Transform Each currently rotates multiple groups around a common center point, counter intuitive to what the name implies. Does what the name says when used on vectors.

3. Fills rendered not accurate compared to edges when using GPU mode

   I noticed a small rendering issue with strokes in GPU mode. The boundaries seem to be somewhat inaccurate, to the point that in certain situations (regardless of whether or not they're joined and by any method), suck as a tee shape, a small bulge of one stroke can appear beyond the edge of another, even though they shouldn't.

   See attached pictures, the problem area is circled. It is subtle, but visible. There is a slight bulge extending outwards towards the right, presumably from the horizontal path at that junction. This is incorrect, the paths are joined and have identical stroke settings.

   In CPU rendering, it renders correctly, and no bulge is visible. It seems to happen somewhat inconsistently, it doesn't always effect path junctions like that, only sometimes.

   Also, the stroke width visibly changes slightly when switching between CPU and GPU mode. In my case, GPU mode seems to draw them slightly wider (higher stroke pt value) than it should be.

   I wonder if this might be due to error introduced by using single precision floats on the GPU (which I assume is the case, considering how much lower double precision float performance is on most GPUs)? Who knows.

   Regardless, the obvious workaround is to simply use CPU rendering, and it is relatively minor. But it is important to have an accurate representation of what you're doing.

   OS: macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Build 17G5019
   2 x Xeon E5-2690 v4 CPUs (don't ask ;) )
   64 GB RAM
   NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8191 MB
   GPU Driver Version: 387.10.10.10.40.122
   CUDA Driver Version: 418.105

   If you have documents that have this behavior, please share the them so that the team can review the bug and make it fixed. Screenshots help, but this can’t be reproduced without the test files. Thank you!

4. Center points are not visible

   Guide objects have lost their center points. I have "Show Center" turned on in the Attributes panel and "Show Edges" turn on, and still, the Center-Points are not visible on object guides.

   Object guides used to all have center-points showing all the time, as long as the guides were turned on. Now the center-points are missing.

5. Text will not change fill colour to what has been selected

   WIndows 10, Illustrator 23.0.3: After selecting text, I try to change the fill colour either using the eyedropper tool or the swatches panel. I expect the text to change to that colour. However, while the colour window shows the colour has been changed, the text doesn't actually change colour. I have to outline the text in order to get it to change colour.

   Thanks for reporting this issue, Illustrator team really appreciate this.
   As per attached screen shot , for the selected Text object your fill is below the Characters in appearance panel.
   Can you kindly move the Fill above the characters and change fill. This will hopefully resolve your problem.
   In order to identify the root cause , can you kindly provide us eyedropper setting snapshot ,you can find eyedropper settings by double click on eyedropper tool .

6. Snap to point is not precise

   Snap to point is always pixels off, so "joining" doesn't work. Pen tool also won't connect to an anchor and will also be pixels off. Snap to point is turned on. Can't join points of lines and shapes to one another to make complete shape.

   If you are still having problems with this, please provide a test file and a small video showing the exact workflow and the combination of options used. This would help to start investigation.

7. empty progress dialog

   BUG: Hitting save, switching to another application for a bit, and then coming back to Illustrator leaves a non-dismissable, persistent blank "Progress" dialog floating behind Illustrator's windows. These empty dialogs often stack up, and only ever go away by quitting the application.

   Expected: whatever dialog this is supposed to be clears itself up, cleans itself up, and puts itself away.

   Thanks for reporting the issue. We have tried the scenario and failed to reproduce it,it would be helpful if you could provide some more information-

   Is this happening on win 7 only?

   Have you tried cleaning the preferences and re launching the application?Does that solve the issue.

   Have you encountered this issue with the latest Illustrator build?

8. An unknown error has occured. Receiving message when opening ai and/or pdf files. CC 2019

   1. I'm working on iMac17,1 with 13.2GHz using illustrator CC 2019

   2. Whether opening a file from finder folder through the program, via file > open I am receiving the same message when opening ai and/or pdf files: " An unknown error has occured. "

   3. This is all of a sudden. I expected the files to open like they normally would, unless it was a corrupt file from a client.

   4. I receive: " An unknown error has occured. "

   I uninstalled and re-installed CC 2019 with no changes.

9. Can’t make an object opaque

   So, I have a very odd quirk happening. When I changed an element from 100% opaque to 70% then copied it and grouped it. Now when I ungroup it the same element that was 70% opaque now thinks it is 100% opaque.

   Essentially I can no longer make that element completely opaque anymore. I have to place another instance. This is a bit of a pain when I have resized or altered the placed element.

   I am running the latest version of Illustrator as of this post.

   I did some searching here and my issue is very similar to this issue:

   Bug - Element Transparency not adjustable after setting transparency once.
   CC 2018
   Placing elements on pasteboard works fine. I adjusted the transparency of the element on layer to 40% over a red box. Now the element shows that transparency. If you try to revise the transparency the properties window shows the element at 100%. There is no way to adjust the transparency back to it's original 100% or know the current transparency.

10. Anchor Point tool doesn’t reshape straight segments

    Anchor point tool does not allow me to bend the straight line by dragging the path to convert it to curve. is this a bug?

    Direct Selection tool won’t reshape straight segments but move them, but Anchor Point Tool should work on these.

    Can you recheck this, please?

12. SVG export : XML code anomaly

    Hi there,

    (my specs don't matter for this issue)

    I'm using Ai to make .svg files I'll animate live (making it react to midi and sound) using PureData and Processing.
    So I have vectorized a picture of stained glasses and it gives me 3655 different path I have to export twice : once in only one .svg file for all paths [globalsvg] and once in one .svg file per path [pathssvg].

    I'll then use Processing to analyse height, width, viewbox and d-commands in [globalsvg] to finally recreate the entire pattern by placing [pathssvg] on another plan thanks to some code lines. I spare you that part.

    Now my problem :

    I have compared the d-commands of a pathsvg and the ones of its twin from globalsvg and I'm noticing an offset between some Absolute-Coordinates. All the coordinates that bother me are related to the same value : y coordinate of the Transform-translate parameter.

    Besides, you will certainly agree that this transform-translate should not even exist in the first place. Ai just decided to create paths far outside the viewbox to then translate those to their supposed original places. It works for -x axis but not for -y axis and it could really be bothering at some point.

    I think it's an unnecessary waste of characters in the XML source-code.

14. Unable to save Illustrator file as SVG using artboards

    We use Illustrator to draw lots of icons.
    If we place each icon on an artboard and try to save each artboard to a file by selecting Save as > SVG > Use artboards > All, we expect multiple icons to be saved to multiple SVG files.

    We actually get multiple SVG files, but each SVG contains all layer names from the original file and one SVG icon.

    It would be very helpful, if manual cleanup after saving / exporting wasn't necessary.

    Nils, please try export svg through File > Export > Export As > SVG and let us know the result

15. Crash while setting up Action

    Illustrator crashes every-time I try to set up a new action. I am trying to create a shade effect of a "sticker" but doing the following:
    - Take outline vector (which is white path)
    - Duplicate
    - Switch to fill
    - Change color to black
    - Apply Shear at 20 degrees
    - Edit opacity to 20%
    - Crash

    Just curious as to why this happening. Possibly due to my file size? 162.5 MB

17. Paragraph styles not properly justifying

    I'm using the latest updated version of CC on mac High Sierra 10.13.6

    When I just use the justify option in the paragraph window, the type will justify properly, but when I've tried to create a paragraph style, the type hangs outside of the text box, no matter what I do.

    Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is this a bug issue? And if so, any workarounds? I'm working on a file that needs a lot of type, and Illustrator is preferred over InDesign (which I've never had a problem with).

    It seems like later builds of Illustrator don’t have this problem.

    Please verify or disprove it.

    The mentioned problem with Group Selection and Selection tools selecting singular points is reported here, with a workaround solution.

19. Workspace window falls off the page

    The newest update does not fix the issue I am having with the workspace window falling off the page when I try to drag the bottom right corner to better fit my art/desktop as needed. Does not respond to the position of my mouse, I have to over exaggerate where I want it while I click and drag my mouse.

    Kimberly, the image you attached to the report is not related to it, and shows a screenshot of the UV page instead.

    So if you are still having this problem, please provide a proper screenshot or maybe a video even, if necessary. Either way, please comment back on this.

20. text change when opening in Illustrator CC 2019

    Illustrator 23.0.1 on Mac OS 10.12.6
    I have issues when I open a document that was created in Illustrator CC2017 in CC 2019. It seems that the text spacing is different, so sometimes some characters are changing to the next line!
    See example exact same document between CC 2017 and CC 2019
