After updating Ai in the desktop app the program crashed on me several times during an afternoon. I worked with the pattern maker tool in one file and manualy in another file. After restarting both Ai and my iMac there is no way to open the files. I get a sign that says "Unable to open drawing". That happens only to the files created after updating. I tried saving as pdf and open the pdf, not working. I tried to open the files on another computer, the same happens. I then placed the pdf in Indesign, saved as a new pdf and open that file in Ai and THEN it worked, however not satisfying since all layers are missing and a ton of clipping masks are added somehow. I have had zero problems before so I really think this has to do with the update. Any suggestions?
