Issues changing type character properties
I have been having issues for a few weeks with illustrator not showing correct font or size. It used to be sporadic, but now it is happening the majority of the time! I even updated my Illustrator CC version & that didn't help.
For example, I will click on some text that is Gotham 15 pt, but the character panel says it is Myriad 12 pt. When I try changing the font or the font size, nothing happens.
It is getting to the point where I am not able to edit text size or font in my own files. Help!
I am using Illustrator CC 2019 (v 23.0.3), and Mac OS High SIerra 10.13.6.

Also I wanted to add....
It seems to work when I use Character Styles panel, but not the Character panel.
