Could not 'crop image'

  • Illustrator 2020 latest version, 24.0??

Could not use the cropping tool to crop the image.

    MacOS Illustrator verrsion 24.3
    Image crop function always doesn't work. It is always false. It happened in both of my MacBook Pro 16inch.
