Impossible to add to graphic styles by dragging from the canvas

In Ai 25 it is impossible to add an appearance of an object to the Graphic Styles panel just by dragging it into it. The less intuitive ways do work (click the "New Graphic Style" button on the bottom of the panel or using the fly-out menu.
