My entire screen goes black when I try to open Illustrator 2021
I have a Mac, Catalina, Version 10.15.7 (19H2)
My touch toolbar stays lit up and I can tell Illustrator is opened based on the toolbar options, but nothing displays on normal screen. Screen returns after I Quit with CMD + Q.

I updated my other Adobe apps (computer and Illustrator were already updated,) then restarted my computer. I then uninstalled duplicate Adobe apps like Photoshop-- had 3 copies somehow-- and restarted computer again. This fixed the problem.
