Page selection when opening a PDF
This is should be beyond trivial to correct, and there are users all over the place asking for this in a different issue report:
Please fix the UI for page-selection when opening a PDF in Illustrator!
Browsing through the thumbnails at the top of the dialog should automatically select that page to open below. It is bad UX to scroll through the pages to find the one that you want and then have to manually enter it below---I can't think of a single reason to have these UI elements disconnected (as they presently are), and there's no reason not to do this correctly, as it should amount to simply implementing an "onChange" sort of action in the dialog's code.

Agreed. This used to work correctly in CS5: browsing through the thumbnails would update the 'Range' field. The current version trips up everyone who's used to the way this function used to work.
