Vertical Type Tool Not Working Properly

When using the vertical type tool, it used to make a word have the letters stacked over each other. (like in column 'B) Now when you click with the Vertical Type Tool to type anything, it appears as image 'A'. I do not think its supposed to look like a word that has just been rotated 90 degrees? (like in column 'C')

Correct Facing the same issue. in all vertical type part. even rotation is not working on it.
