Illustrator 2024 keeps crashing, no crash report, no recovery files
I've been using Illustrator on my desktop since 2019, I haven't changed anything on my setup in terms of hardware or software. Illustrator was working perfectly fine up until lately (within the last 2 months). I've worked on large files and multiple files with heavy memory loads perfectly fine. But now, I can barely have two Illustrator documents open without it crashing. A crash report doesn't pop up and it doesn't save my recovery files even though I have that function enabled. I have one document open right now, it only has two photos and a shape with a gradient, photos are just 1080p resolution. I tried to select the color for a stroke on a shape... Illustrator went non-responding and crashes without warning or explanation or crash report.

Hey I have the same problem here! Many say un-checking the "GPU Performance" fixes the issue but then my app performance dramatically drops... and zooming in and out is now horrible.... please let me know if you found a better solution !

I am having this issue in Oct 2024. My files are vectors only. If I turn off GPU performance, I can still work without crashing, but this is not ideal. I work on very detailed technical drawings, requiring a lot of zooming in and out, which is when the problem occurs.
