Illustrator (iPad) Feature Requests

Create a share link with a locally saved file Currently you have to save your file to the cloud to share a link. Just like XD I would like to save my files locally and use the feature to share a link for reviews.

Open multiple files at once. Open. Multiple. Save Files. At. The. Same. Time.
And drag and drop between those files.1 vote -
Colour Picker Gesture like in Procreate Please make a Colour Picker Finger Gesture like in Procreate! At the moment its way too hard and fiddly to pick colours from the artboard.
- Press and hold down with your finger where you want to pull the color from.
- You'll see a circle take on your color.
- Wait for the color to appear in the color selection tool in the top-right corner of the screen.
- You now have access to the selected color.

Manual sync with CC Syncing saved files over from Illustrator Desktop to Illustrator for iPad takes forever (hours, or sometimes even days) while the app says no sync errors. It'd be great to be able to manually sync with CC!

Snap to vertical or horizontal alignment when dragging points on shapes Ex: when dragging a point on a triangle, would love if it snapped to when it was straight above or to the side of another point on the triangle

Toggle to disable closing of pencil lines In the full version of Illustrator it is possible to turn off pencil lines from auto-closing by checking the “close paths” toggle off in the pencil options but it seems there is no option to turn this off for the pencil tool on iPad Illustrator. Very annoying when creating lots of short strokes and a good amount of them close into a shape.

Add a quick show/hide button to reveal tool tip labels Unlike desktop/Wacom styluses, the apple pencil has no hover state which makes it hard to know what tool does what. Would be very useful to have a quick show/hide button to quickly see hovering tool tips for each tool option in lieu of having a hover capability. Example UI attached.

Erase up to intersection (Paths) Illustrator on Ipad and the normal one really needs a tool to erase to intersection, like for example Clip studio has. It has a few workarounds, but this should just be a feature, not something to work around.
Erase up to intersection should be a simple tool/or a feature you can activate on the normal eraser, so you can just touch the lines you want to cut and they will be erased up to the closest path it connects too.

timer on artworks Adobe keeps track of how long you have spent in the artboard, maybe even add a timelapse of what you have done. Eg in procreate under Canvas Information

Creative Cloud Libraries on ipad? I'm sure this is in the pipeline, but it's odd that Creative Cloud Libraries isn't available on the iPad version of Illustrator. I have searched the web front-to-back and can't seem to find a way to use the Libraries panel in Photoshop or Illustrator on iPad. I apologize if I am incorrect. I just can't find a good resource to point me in the right direction.
I do most of my work on a PC and will likely continue to do so. It's just convenient sometimes to start with an idea on my iPad and finish later on my PC.…

Change or leave dpi/ppi the same as document. Created the document with 300 dpi but exports as 72dpi. This doesn’t even make since. At minimum, you should be able to select your ppi/dpi when you export your file. You would think it would export the same as your original document

Add panning and zooming with keyboard and mouse I’m trying to use illustrator for ipad with a keyboard and mouse but only being able to pan and zoom with my hands really is disruptive to my workflow (coming from a desktop user). It definitely requires a big habit change on my part to lift my hand up to the screen everytime I want to move the canvas around, but I would LOVE to have the pan and zoom by holding spacebar and moving around as well as cmd + scrolling respectively. This is the only thing making me not want to switch to using illustrator for ipad full…

Set default stroke Line width It would be useful to be able to set a new default line/stroke weight or set it before you star drawing. Currently the option in the side menu only appears once you have started a line and resets when you start a new layer. I almost always need a 0.25 weight yet have to constantly either start a line and go back and set from 1 back to 0.25
