  1. Display refresh upon scaling is pixelated

    Using the zoom tool or Command+ options to enlarge, the image is highly pixelated. And stays that way. I have to go back to Command 0 and start again.

    On top of this, the rainbow is a frequent visitor. While doing the most basic of things like turning a layer off or on, and definitely while enlarging the image.

    This does not happen all the time but usually after the application has been use for a while, like it's tired! Very annoying.

  3. Manual Dimensions don’t stick to the objects they are intended to be linked to

    Starting form Ai Beta 28.4.0.7, dimension objects are sticky (linked) to the objects we click with the Dimension tool — so that when we move or transform the objects, their linked dimensions move with them.

    For some reason this applies only to 'Aligned dimensions' (those that are made with the click-drag-release method).

    When we use click-click-click method, Illustrator creates 'Manual dimensions', which look the same way as the aligned ones, but for some peculiar reasons that makes no sense to us, are not sticky.

    This means that we can’t apply live and linked dimensions to objects that are anything more…

    The latest Beta 28.5.0.78 allows manual dimensions to stick to arbitrary points and recalculate correctly when objects are repositioned or transformed — just as we expected it to. This includes gaps also.

    Please try it and see if it works for all the cases you have and comment back.

  6. PSD Layered export fails no matter dpi or GPU on or off

    Idea?? It's (yet) another bug.
    It's in the title. Have illustrator layered file that need to take into photoshop as layered file for eventual return to Illustrator and eventually AE. But layered export fails every time. Tried 450dpi, 300, 150 72 with GPU acceleration on, and with it off. No joy. Downgraded, no joy. Seriously just no joy.

    When creating a color using the color picker mixer panel, the color preview on the left goes black and does not preview the color being created.

  8. Help Menu Bar Performance Issues

    MacOS Sonoma 14.3, Illustrator 28.3 #55
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. In Mac menu bar open "help" (results in delay)
    2. Attempt to search (results in Spinning Wait Cursor or delayed appearance of letter)
    3. If letter shows up, attempt to mouse over the search menu results (delayed result of relevant item menu bar location when skipping through the results.

    Artboard with a locked reference point changes the reference point and moves the artboard when changing the artboard size.

  10. Effect dialogs from Photoshop Effects section in the Effects menu display as blank, with only buttons visible

    The screen turns to a blocked out white, whenever I open the effect gallery. This problem only occurred in Illustrator Beta, and not PSD beta.

  11. Dimension tool, unable to choose a Spot color. v 28.1

    So updated to Illustrator v 28.1. And with it came the blessing of the Dimension tool, however I've notices some irregularities with the settings.
    Not sure if intended or not.

    Regarding the selection of color, depending if you open the Dimension tool settings by double-clicking on the tool or via the "cogwheel" you get different functions.

    1. Double-click you can select a spot color as the ink/color used for the measurements, for example using an custom color "measurement".

    2. If you instead go to the settings through the "cogwheel" of the tool the option for selecting a spot color (färgrutor) is grayed…

  12. Retype (beta) in Illustrator 28.1 stuck at 4% "downloading"

    I'm attempting to use the Retype (beta) tool in Illustrator, pop up informed me that a 400mb download is required, Adobe Desktop Service connects to server and downloads 550MB of data but the progress bar in Illustrator is stuck on 4% and claims to still be downloading.

    If this feature works and can match fonts effectively it will be a gamechanger for me. The current solution I use is whatfontis.com and the interface is terrible and full of unnecessary steps and popups. Thank you for incorporating this tool!

  13. Font in a document shared with Share for Review functions differs from a font client sees

    I just sent a proof to my client via the Share for Review link and they are seeing a different font on their end than the one I used in the Illustrator file. In other parts of the file, I have converted the same font to outlines and they can see that one just fine but the one that remains a font shows up as a different font for them. The strange thing is, they have the font installed on their computer so I have no guesses as to what's happening here.

  15. Fill or stroke in appearance panel causes crash in 28.3 10

    Mac OS Sonoma 14.3
    Illustrator Beta 28.3 10
    I am trying to change the color of an object. Selecting the object and clicking on the fill or stroke button in the appearance panel causes the program to immediately crash. This has happened on 2 different Macs. The program is currently unusable so back to standard Illustrator 28.1

  16. Can’t generate prompt due to connection issues Error

    Trying out the new AI and when I enter something in the subject field, It tells me it is having connection issues and to check your internet. My internet is working fine.

  17. Dimension tool options won't save

    When using the dimension tool (beta) in the regular Illustrator program (latest update), I can't save my options. I can open the options window and change settings, but clicking "OK" does nothing. I have to cancel out to close the window in order to continue with my work. The tool will be great when it works correctly.

  18. Zoom and Alt Zoom glitch occasionally when when sliding mouse to zoom in and out.

    I slide my mouse left and right to zoom in and out but occasionally when holding the right mouse button while zooming it will draw a dotted line and zoom me in extremely and then have to resort to clicking Alt + Z to zoom out which is much much slower and less efficient. To resolve I have to save my work, close the application, then restart it.
