I posted this bug in InDesign forum, it’s an issue with the Photoshop update. Reverting a version then updating fixed it for me but not all.

    Dear users,

Can you please let us know what is that you cannot do with the existing 'save selection' functionality that you expect to do by grouping objects from different layers?

'Save selection' enables you to combine objects from different layers without having to bring them into one single layer.

To use 'save selection' just select your desired objects and save the selection from the select > save selection menu command or from the bottom of the layers panel.

It is useful but the grouping across layers would be so much more useful and simpler for the end user

How does this vary from the old save selection option?

Grouping items and they all move to a single layer can be useful but is mostly frustrating

    Thanks Egor
It’s not a major thing, just not the behaviour I expected. As you say it’s easy to achieve the expected outcome with or with the split grid tool

I added a video to show whats happening, I expected the shapes to be split but the command changes each shape type into a square.

Weird thing is that’s the main release, beta is fine.

It makes no difference if it is active or not.

Its an Adobe font and this happens even when opening the app rather than. by opening a file which may use the font

Extremities such as hands when generating subjects are 'random'.

The background is improving, especially when used to extend.

Rating output and refining rather than regeneration might get you two intended result faster?

Update to Mac OS 14.1.1 has indeed fixed the issue. I still have the issue of windows opening behind toolbar however, this has been around for some time.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.4.1 which is available worldwide now.

Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html

Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

Libraries panel freezes when trying to add items.

It usually opens with a zoomed-in view which clears if I resize the panel.

Mac OS 10.15.7 with Illustrator 25.0
