Renaming an artboard in Artboards panel scrolls to have the item on top
The way it works in the newest update is infuriating.
In the newest update, when I change the name of an artboard in the Artboards panel, the panel automatically scrolls to have that item at the top. I keep losing my place in the Artboards panel and I can't keep track of what I'm doing. I don't see a benefit of the list jumping around all the time. It's horrific to work with.

Split idea
This idea was split into a new idea: Hitting Down with an artboard selected in Artboards panel now moves it on canvas instead of in the list

The fix has been pushed into the latest 30.3 general release. Please update, check, and comment back if it still happens.

I confirm this. There is no need to force the renamed item on top, but it does now. I can see how it can be infuriating.
