An error occurred while saving the comment It is a mere rendering bug, as far as I understand it. Am I right thinking the coordinates match exactly?
Does it behave differently if you enable CPU Preview instead of GPU one? -

An error occurred while saving the comment I suppose it’s much more precise when using CPU Preview mode, compared to GPU, isn’t it?

With the release of V29.0, Knife tool now supports smartguide.
Please try out this functionality and let us what you think!
An error occurred while saving the comment While Knife indeed works with Smart Guides as precise as we expect it to, it still is constrained to the internal point grid, even with every snap option disabled.
Reported here — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/34193521 — please upvote.

An error occurred while saving the comment In the latest Beta the team allowed the Knife tool to work with Smart Guides: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/36682372 — and it works.
But without Smart Guides (and definitely without Snap to Grid) the tool still works constrained to internal point grid.
Whoever decided A) 1 point is enough and B) it needs constraining — is a saboteur.Knife should be just like Pencil, have the same Fidelity parameter in its Options (which now are just missing), and work in the screen space.

An error occurred while saving the comment Would you mind me adding an English translation to the title of your request, to help with the discoverability of it?
An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, the 'double inverse selection' trick just makes anything partially selected to become fully selected, like a said.
It’s not a direct replacement or a substitute for the Enclosed mode for Lasso, and neither Object Lasso worked like this, as the GIF below showed...I’ve seen your request, translated it and upvoted it.
I know a script exists that remove partially selected objects from a selection, but can’t find it so far.An error occurred while saving the comment Thorge, Ai does have Lasso tool.
It’s actually 'Direct Selection Lasso tool', and it will select portions of the object, but this can be converted into a full selection, using double Select > Inverse trick (works better when you assign it to a hotkey). At some point Illustrator had a dedicated 'Full Object Selection Lasso', and there is a separate request for that: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/44462988
Is it what you have in mind? If yes, do you mind me merging your request into it?
If no — can you elaborate on you request?

An error occurred while saving the comment Meanwhile we use a trick to get a full selection out of a partial one Direct Lasso makes — double Select > Inverse. I bound it to Ctrl+Shift+I, to match Photoshop’s hotkey, instead of spellcheck that uses it by default, and it works fine.
The request though is solid, thanks for remembering this. I wish I can add 10 votes to it.An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, you are quite right, there was such a tool, called just Lasso tool, and what we do have now as a Lasso used to be called Direct Select Lasso.
Take a look at the GIF attached.I really wish for it to be back and extended, with an option to have only objects inside the line selected, along with the existing option to select all the objects inside and crossed by it.
Meanwhile, there is another request about freeform selection, a brush-like way: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/38803612
And the plugin that allows that exists, if you are interestedAn error occurred while saving the comment I have a trick for you. Select objects you want with Lasso, no matter which points. Select inverse. Select inverse again. There you have it—all object you partially selected with Lasso are now selected entirely.

An error occurred while saving the comment Oh yeah, scripts deserve so much more.
As for now Adobe Exchange offers a way to host extensions (in most cases are just glorified wrappers for scripts) — exchange.adobe.com/apps/browse/cc?page=1&product=ILST&q=extensions — but nothing for just scripts. And we have hundreds and hundreds of them, and they cover so much gaps in UX.UV has a separate request for a dedicated script panel, please upvote it as well: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/39903586
Plus there are several decent external solutions, Scripshon Trees being one of them: https://exchange.adobe.com/apps/cc/15873/scripshon-treesBut none for the Exchange for scripts.
Adam, would you mind me promoting your comment into an idea for it?An error occurred while saving the comment Adam, it’d be nice indeed to have a feature like this in Ai natively. Count me in.
Meanwhile I can offer to use a free script to achieve this result — alignObjects by sky-chaser-high :https://github.com/sky-chaser-high/adobe-illustrator-scripts?tab=readme-ov-file#alignObjectsjs
You’d have to specify the tolerance value to define common axes for rows and columns.
Please be warned also that scripts can’t handle opacity masks properly (you can upvote a request to fix this here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/908050/suggestions/46727548)

Here, I packaged the contents of the Default_Substance_Materials folder and uploaded here: https://we.tl/t-xX006CtQ3H
The link will expire in a week. Please try to grab it and see if placing files back helps. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Amir Abbas, sorry, but this last comment of yours feels like a soulless generated piece of automated marketing blabber, adding nothing to the topic, watered down to almost feel like nonsense. If not your previous request, this would be treated as spam. I can be wrong with my judgement, but please don’t write like this, ever.
An error occurred while saving the comment A more specific request:

An error occurred while saving the comment Bardia, does crash reported dialog show up? Do any messages get shown?
What build it is, 15 or 9? Does it help to downgrade Beta from CCD to a previous one? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Chris, the team has been trying to solve a problem with performance and linked files for some time and made several changes to the engine.
Some are available already in the latest Beta — can you please try it and see if it handles these files with many links better? -

An error occurred while saving the comment While I support the cause, I reject the offered way to do it.
See, if you make a guide colored in a layer’s specific color, you won’t be able to distinguish it from a selected line. There will no way to tell if a guide is selected or not.
What can also be done to solve this is the screen-spaced dash pattern, as a bound option. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Gabriela, can you please explain the order of steps that lead to this problem?
Is this the same problem and the same set of links and smart objects or two different one?
How often does it happen and if the broken link in Ai gets fixed after the app is relaunched?
Can share some details on these files or share them for the team to review?
Would definitely require this request completed also to avoid confusion:
Allow to change color & width of border / edges for artboards (all and active)
