Somewhere in the object you have an object named '<desc4125>'
You can select it in the Layers, but you can’t target it or select there or select it on canvas visually, because it has nothing but the name.

Once you delete it, the group becomes a normal alignable group.

The fact it happens is obviously a bug. Thanks for reporting it!

I’ve attached the simplified file to test the bug, with no actual seal, just an ellipse in a group with that 'desc' thing within.

    Thanks for the investigation!
Yes, this I can confirm easily, the line is there at the medium UI scaling, just as you described. A half a pixel, obviously, antialiased.
At least we know the way to get rid of it in a sense.
Again, thank you for the report.

Bo, if it’s specific for your machine, you definitely should provide your exact system specs, including the OS display scaling, Ai’s UI preferences, GPU details, etc.

Perhaps you might need to have a session with the engineer to look up at this. Do you have the ability and time for this?

There are multiple ways to achieve this in Illustrator right now.
The most straightforward is to use Rotate and Scale tools with Smart Guides on, Snap to Grid off, and holding Ctrl to aim to points, as the first GIF shows.

Then, there is the Orient Transform plugin from AstuteGraphics: https://astutegraphics.com/learn/tutorial/orient-transform-tool-subscribe
It’s a paid tool, but it simplifies the workflow, as the second GIF shows.

For some cases you can clip the art to a shape and resize this clipping group to match the scale you need and unclip it.

Azriella, does not happen to me, I am still able to go back with undos, copy anything, and redos are still available for me...

Do you have any external clipboard managers installed?
What are the options checked In you Clipboard Handling in Preferences?
Does it happen for any artwork you try to copy or only some specific types?
Does it happen when you use hotkey and/or menu commands?
Does it still happen if you relaunch?

I’m afraid there is no other way but to address Summa directly: https://www.summa.com/en/connect/

Adobe team obviously can’t maintain 3rd-party plugins and has no idea what caused the problem the plugin has.

The plugin code is protected and can be refined only by its developers. Each developer has to support their software for their clients.

The other solution is to stick to previous version, but it’s a temporary one :(

The problem with this can be caused by the fact artboard can overlap each other, and one object can be placed inside of several artboards, or overlap some, or be a small part of another artboard while almost fully placed into another one.
How do you intend to work around these problems?
    Let’'s discuss it.

    Ben, hi.
When you open a swatch library, you can 'pin' it via this panel’s menu with Make Persistent button. It means the panel will stick between launches, like it’s described here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/using-creating-swatches.html (not much said though)

What the manual misses: the panel won’t stick if you reset or switch workspaces though, so you have to add one into each workspace you are working with and save it after you add one (I know, saving workspaces sucks).
Does it work for you? Please reply back.

Steve, you can make each orange circle an instance of a symbol and rotate them around the center of the blue circle. Then Reset Transformations for all instances via the Symbols panel’s menu to return them to their original 0 angle.

And perhaps you might want to try this free Arranger extension: https://exchange.adobe.com/creativecloud.details.100201.arranger.html
It does not do exactly what you want, but you can work around. I prefer the symbol way :)

Alex, the Beta has this flask button in the top right corner of the window. Press it and choose 'All changes'.
But as far as I know, there is no public webpage that lists them somewhere on the Web. I suppose you have to agree to use Beta to know about its features.

I can argue with that. But my trump it 'it’s here already and we don’t have to wait' :)
But seriously — I’d personally though of it as a bug. 'Illustrator loose my last gradient swatch when I hit D to set default fill and stroke' :D

André, do you know about the way to reset the currently selected gradient back to default black&white, even if the swatch has been removed form the Swatches panel?

You can hold Ctrl and click the square in the top left corner of the Gradient panel to do it.

As usual with panel commands, it can’t be assigned to a hotkey or recorded into an action, so only clicking.

As for the resetting it with the D key — interesting... I wonder what workflows can it break though. I believe you mean that it get reset when you hit it whenever the panel is opened or not?

This requires Smart Guides on (with Transform Tools option turned on in Preferences)

Johan, unfortunately, you can't edit your messages or attach files in comments. So you'll have to upload it somewhere else and post link.

    But.

What you ask is already there:

Does holding Ctrl while snapping help with prioritization?
If not — can you provide an example of a case when it fails?
Either way — please comment back.
