An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, true. A clumsy workaround we now have is to create a dummy object, fill and stroke it with a swatch, use Select Same Fill, unselect the dummy object, hide or lock selection (unless you have something already hidden or locked), select the dummy again, use Select Same Stroke, hide-lock this too, unhide-unlock... Just nonsense.
Meanwhile you can use a free script by Sergey Osokin to achieve this with a click:

At the moment it forces you to choose between stroke or fills, but not both, but I bet it can be improved. -

It allows a single symbol, as far as I can see from the description...Then, another paid plugin would be Symbol Stipple from AstuteGraphics: https://astutegraphics.com/plugins/stipplism
It allows to use several symbols (if used as variants)But yeah, I'd rather much have a built-in way to do something like this.

But your idea feels much more broad and universal. Voted -

To blend one live type object to another? Do you get a result you want when you outline them first? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Illustrator Desktop allow converting type object to outlines with Type > Create Outlines command. But is it what you mean? Or do you refer to the iPad version of Illustrator? Same deal there: select the type and choose Outline Text in the Type menu.

How exactly it does not work? Is its command disabled in the menu? Or you can enable it, but nothing changes? Or a certain proof choice doesn’t work only? Was it ever working for you? -

An error occurred while saving the comment There is also FindReplace Art paid plugin that allows to do almost all of the features requested. Highly recommend to try it.

Hitting Tab does jump the cursor in the next filed for me.
Which fields, panels, dialogs do try? Please provide the details. Having a video can also help. -

The issue got resolved with a fresh installation.
In case the same happens to you — please check all the snapping options in the View menu, especially Snap to Pixel, and the Keyboard Increment value in Preferences > General.

If it ever happens again — please log a new report (I am closing this one).

Are you sure that 'Snap to Pixel' option is disabled?An error occurred while saving the comment Does not happen for me on Windows, it jumps correctly with 1mm.
Can you check grid settings and Snap to Grid (just in case!), and also local units, in Document Setup? -

Same, I can open the file just alright with 27.5 on Windows 10.
Aron, do you have any plugins installed? If you do — does the problem persist if you temporarily remove them?
Have you tried to import this PDF into the previous Ai version form CCD?
