An error occurred while saving the comment There is a Gradient Forge plugin, a part of Astute Graphics commercial plugin pack, and it allows to make the process of stacking stop less painful.
There is no dedicated option yet to quickly convert normal smooth gradients into this hard/stacked ones, but perhaps they will add it later. -

Please share the file with the team. Send it over to sharewithai@adobe.com and mention the link to this very report — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/50605484
An error occurred while saving the comment That is odd... the Edit command should be available in this case... and in the case you have both an Intertwine object and something else selected — the Release command would have been active!
What do you have selected actually? Can you share the file or show a screenshot of you expanded Layers, at least, please? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Mara, can you reproduce it? Did it involve any duplication of artboards?

An error occurred while saving the comment Tiffany, please use File > Package to make a copy of the document with fonts used and send it to sharewithai@adobe.com, so the team can review the problem. Please mention your full specs: OS, GPU; and the link to this report, for tracking it back — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50599823
Having a video or at least screenshots would help as well (you can just put them in a comment, so other users can see these and match the behavior with the problem they could have too). -

Seems fixed in Beta 30.0.0.14

An error occurred while saving the comment Hardly...
When unchecking the Suffix, Ai can’t tell if the artboard you chosen IS the same artboard you exported earlier (the file doesn’t specify it within, and the name missing the suffix Ai can compare with the naming scheme). That is, if you first exported an artboard 3 (with no suffix) and then try to export artboard 1 (again, no suffix), Ai gets lost comparing these names for some strange reasons, even though the names match.
This is a bug — for me and you both... I think it should be fixed, so I upvoted it.An error occurred while saving the comment It feels like the reason is the same as in this report:
Illustrator won't replace existing PNG file; creates copy and adds "-01" to filename

Works as expected in Beta 30.0.0.114.
Please test the fix to make sure it’s ready to be pushed into the general build.
An error occurred while saving the comment Seems like it’s working fine in Beta 30.0.0.114!
Please try to test, to make sure the fix is solid to be pushed into the general build. An error occurred while saving the comment Not fixed in the Beta as well :( I raised this twice with the team, but it feels like the priority is too low for this one. I’ll do it again, but this is as much I can do. @Karsten, if you know other designers who suffer from this bug, please ask them to upvote this — the threshold is usually 10 votes.

An error occurred while saving the comment I confirm this. Happens only with curved paths and only with GPU Preview mode.
An error occurred while saving the comment Wow. Doesn’t happen for me, a dotted guide stays dotted...
Cant you share a test file, please, just in case? Are you on 29.6? Does it behave the same in Beta 29.7.0.23? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Sneha, please share the test files with these shapes and describe the steps you took to get this result.
Also... does it look the same when you toggle View > View using CPU command? -

As per the original poster, anchor was outside the artboard.

An error occurred while saving the comment Text mode offers some text-specific hotkeys, and these do replace hotkeys used outside of editing text... and this is basically the only mode in Ai that does it (and the UI doesn’t really specify this well enough in Keyboard Shortcuts today).
This is why the recently added Bold / Italics hotkeys aren’t just Ctrl+B / I, but use Shift also (Ctrl+Shift+B / I) — to keep the Paste in Back / Front available.
I presume you try to make something bold and press Ctrl+B — is my guess correct? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Herbie, do you still have this issue? If you do — can you check if Paste Remembers Layers is disabled in the Layers panel’s dropdown menu?
Also — are you sure that the active artboard is specified as you intended, both when copying and pasting? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Kevin, so you mean the button is not there in Control panel?
Well, it does not mean 'Isolation mode won’t work', right? It still does work if you double-click (if the option to allow it is enabled in Preferences), it still does work if you press an Isolate Selected Object hotkey (which is not assigned by default, but can be in Keyboard Shortcuts). Or does it?
That’s why I asked for the video in the first place, to see what you actually do to enter the mode :)
If you confirm this, this would have to be renamed and moved to a Feature Request section as 'Show Isolate Selected Object button in Control and Properties for groups with live text inside' — and I will vote for that, because it makes sense. Please comment back.
An error occurred while saving the comment Does work for me, latest Windows release.
More info needed: OS, version, steps, test file, GIF or a video recording. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Can you share the full specs of your system, please?
Having an actual video recorded would be very helpful too.
Does it happen with any file at all? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Rosie, when do you get a message like this? What were you trying to do?
It seems like UserVoice blocked the attachments... please send them to sharewithai@adobe.com and mention this report’s link, so the team can track it back here — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50585030 -

An error occurred while saving the comment Daté, based on these screenshots I believe this happens when users try to scale or move images (only images or included in a selection).
Is my guess correct?
There is an existing report about this particular kind of PARM error — does it look the same one to you?

Another plugin solution is offered with IllustKit plugin by Totallypic: https://totallypic.com/illustKit
It offers several effects that can be applied to an object with a gradient, instantly doubling the stops virtually.
