This is obviously not fixed and requires further inspection.

An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Taper can be achieved with any effect from Effect > Warp group, with Bend value set to 0, but Horizontal and Vertical Distortion tweaked.
An error occurred while saving the comment A Shear can be calculated with a rotation and scale, we know. There is even a script to do that, http://sysys.blog.shinobi.jp/Entry/53/
But we still need is a separate thing!AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) shared this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment The problem still exists, yes.
I am going to recheck this anyways.
Thanks for raising this up.AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Well... Illustrator nowadays (since 2011) uses double-precision floating-point format to store coordinates (which IS 64 bit!), but it stores them in points anyway... I suppose some rounding still happens when points get converted to millimeters.
I had this problem long before 2011, but today, when I export my metric architecture-related designs into a 3D software, and scale them up to match the true scale, the small error is there, just like you show, but it’s not that scary like it used to be.
Still the problem exists, but it’s not because of the format, but conversion. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Can you reproduce this behavior in a new file?
If you can — please share this test file, or the actual file if you have this problem with, if a new fil won’t get this. The team would require any, to start the investigation.
You can share them here publicly, if you are OK with it, or send them to sharewithai@adobe.com instead (put the link to this report then for tracking it: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/47454587) -

An error occurred while saving the comment Tamoto, do you also have a pencil? Does it crash if you try to use it in the app anywhere?

An error occurred while saving the comment I confirm, does happen on Windows using Ai 2024, but does NOT in Ai Beta.
If you remove the space at the end — no duplication happens. The report seems to be a broader copy of Find and Replace Text Adding numbers (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/39397234).
Tom, would you mind I merge these together?AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea · -

Recent builds offer a native way to hide units in live dimensions, so there is no need to expand these to hide them manually or use the Find and Replace hack anymore
AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, Clark, it makes total sense, and I asked for an ability to remove units. It should work globally and per-dimension, manually and automatically, based on the width.
Meanwhile I discovered that although the text is not editable while the object is live, it still get affected by Find and Replace :) But it’s still a workaround.
Thanks for the request! Upvoted. An error occurred while saving the comment Indeed, Expanding Appearance does the same to me, the parts of the object get duplicated, thrice.
There is no dedicated Expand command, like other objects like Blends and Envelopes have (yet, I hope), but at the moment the most easiest way to expand it is just move it. No duplicates happen. But what do you want to edit specifically? Why expand these in the first place? Can you demonstrate an example of an edit you later perform?

An error occurred while saving the comment Kiara, this definitely needs a short video.
Can you share it and the test file you try it with, so the team can reproduce the issue on their side? -

An error occurred while saving the comment It looks like you have bounding box disabled, most probably with accidental Ctrl+Shift+B.
Press it again to have it back, or toggle it in View > Show/Hide Bounding Box. -

An error occurred while saving the comment I see, thanks.
You mean the field in the Control panel specifically. An error occurred while saving the comment Helga, can you share a screenshot of this?
I can’t say it’s that narrow, and it immediately scrolls to the end when you rename it. And if I want it to be wider in general, I can always resize the panel itself.
Or do you specifically mean the truncation happens way too soon, and several more character could have been squeezed before the ellipsis? Please elaborate. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Nudge tool by RJGraffix most probably uses the strokeDashOffset parameter (or a similar variable SDK provides).
It turns out Illustrator does not respect it when a stroke is outlined (and it does not get saved into a doc even!)— please vote here to fix it: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/47442734AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea · -

The Links panel now has a Delete button in the latest Beta (28.1.0.87).
Please check and try if it works for you as expected.
You can access Beta in the Beta section of your CCD app.

An error occurred while saving the comment It can be something else, but the hardware should be checked first here.
BTW, if you don’t want to get 'Lorem ipsum' to be used when you create a new text, you can disable it in Preferences > Type: Fill New Type Object With Placeholder Text.
An error occurred while saving the comment Barbara, these dialog get opened usually when we press Enter, or when we click a canvas with a tool picked, or double-click the tool button. If you don’t have problems with a keyboard, or your touchpad’s sensitivity, it should not pop.
Do you use a pen, or a mouse, or a touchpad?
Can you make a short video to demonstrate the behavior?
I can’t say I need Shear EACH often, but just today I needed that.
