Using Color Mixer in Control panel for stroke changes the color of the fill instead
I encountered this problem as seen in the GIF.
Selecting a stroke or fill from the control bar menu changes the active appearance. When using sliders, it doesn't. i have tested on different Windows 11 machines and different documents. Replicated the issue every time.
AI 29.0.1
The team confirms the behavior and intends to fix it soon. Thanks for the reports!

Hi there is a new bug in the 29.0.1 version.
If you select an object and then change the stroke color of an object in the left upper corner then in result this action changes the fill color not the stroke color.
It seems to be connected with the order of the fill and stroke on the left tool bar. If the Fill is above the stroke in the left tool bar then changes in the upper corner affect the fill and when the stroke is above the fill in the left toolbar then the change affect the stroke.

The focus on the fill or stroke in the Tools panel determine what color can be changed in the Control panel..

@Egor -- the colour mixers in the control bar appear to change whatever the active appearance is (stroke or fill), regardless of whether the drop-down for stroke or fill is selected.

29.0.1 Mac OS confirmed. What is the use of beta, pre-release, where is QA? If in the final release you roll out such stupid bugs.

Yes, that is correct. Thank you..

Yasin, from what I see in the GIF (and what I can verify), using the Color Mixer in Control panel for stroke changes the color of the fill instead — am I correct? I fixed the title.
