    This is so frustrating that I cannot drag the edge of my artboard to snap to the edge path or anchor of an object. With smart guides on, I drag and release the artboard edge when smart guide displays the words "path" or "anchor", but it does not actually snap to that path or anchor. I zoom in to see that it is way. These two screenshots show art board appearing to snap to an Anchor point and then a 34000% zoom of the misalignment. Please for the love of god fix this.

    I was hoping this would fix the other artboard align issue. When you copy/drag an item to a new artboard and try to center align it on that artboard, it still references the OLD artboard and just center aligns it on top of the original.

    It’s dangerous to call things Smart... When they behave dumb, the name sound like an insult. Sadly, this is the case.

    Please provide more specific cases, with video proofs, ask you colleagues to share and vote, to move this further. This is the way to force changes to things that are broken — be vocal and persistent. Thank you all and let’s hope we get heard.

    Starting with version 29.3, Illustrator got the 'Embed permitted fonts for file preview' option in the Illustrator Options save dialog.

    Currently it’s disabled by default, because there were multiple confused complaints on the changed behavior.

    When missing in your current system, fonts will render as previews in the documents that were saved with this option enabled — it 'bakes' these outlines in. When we try to edit one though, we get a warning and the font becomes substituted, as before.

    However, this is not 'Convert text to outlines on open' as we requested it. The option does not provide a way to do that for all the embedded outline previews, and Ai still doesn’t allow to select these at once.     1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.

    2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?
