The solution is pushed into Global Availability build 28.6.
The team intends to add another command into this menu, allowing to copy the path. That’s it.

An error occurred while saving the comment When working with a big number of small artboards (e.g. icons), a big part of the artboards is covered by the number. So when re-arringing them with the artboard tool, it would be helpful if the tool provides an option to have the artboard numbers/names visible – or not.
Without this, it's a hassle of switching between artboard and selection tool, zooming in and out. -

The latest Beta build 29.6 180 now does this as expected — newly created artboards track their number and reuse the global counter for artboards, just like Layers panel does.
There is a request to update the names for existing artboards — please upvote it.
An error occurred while saving the comment If this should ever be done, please make it optional – I often link single Illustrator artboards to InDesign brochures and when the artboards are re-numbered when adding some in between, all links would be messed up.

The latest Beta 29.5 52 now remembers these options in the Export As dialog and keeps it between sessions. Please try to test it to see if it works as expected for you and comment back.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.3.0 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

I wasn't notified about your qestion, hence my late answer. I was about to enter the exact feature request again as it's bugging me so often and found out I did it a while ago.
Yes, it's about the truncation in the artboard name input field. It's currently way too short for the average artboard name I need for certain projects, consisting e.g. of:
Webinar name, date, medium (LinkedIn/Mailing/BrightTalk), size
So that these can be nicely exported for the file names.
