This issue seems to be fixed in Illustrator Beta 28.1.0.100.
Please update it (or install it from CCD, if you don’t have it) and verify if the issue is no longer happening.

Bryan, as per the comment, please share the test file and provide the clear reproducible steps so the team can try to replicate this on their side.

Thanks,

Yogesh,
If I may add to my earlier comments from the 6th.
Working in a large format business we ran some numbers, in the past 4 weeks we have had approximately 212 projects that required an artboard over 200 inches in size. These projects force us to rely on other software to ensure that we can provide a great Customer Experience. Allowing for a much larger artboard would allow us to
1. Utilize Adobe specific Software
2. Streamline our Training of New Hires and Best Practices
3. Autopopulate data and images into customer-facing documents
4. Automate many of the repetitive tasks
5. Minimize the amount of File Type Conversions (received in Illustrator remains in Illustrator)Thank you again for your time and considerations.

Working in Scale or "Virtual Scale" would not solve our workflow issue. All of our vector layouts are exported to Nesting Software and CNC Machine Software at 1:1 Scale.

And it’s done finally, in the latest Beta 28.1.0.100 build.
All NEW documents will now have Hyphenate disabled by default.
To use this feature please delete all files in a specific folder and relaunch Illustrator. This effort is required only for first time, for Illustrator to fetch updated copies of default document profiles.
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator 28.1.0 BETA Settings/<language>/New Document Profiles
- Win: C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 28.1.0 BETA Settings\<language>\x64\New Document Profiles
However, Illustrator won’t make changes to custom presets you have in EXISTING documents though.
To make this option to get turned off for them as well, you’d have to update a [Normal Paragraph Style] in Paragraph Styles panel on your own. To do that:
1. create a new text object, keep it selected,
2. press [Normal Paragraph Style] in Paragraph Styles panel,
3. open Paragraph panel, disable Hyphenate,
4. open Paragraph Styles panel again, and execute Redefine Paragraph Style command…

We have passed this request along to Grammarly and that while Grammarly thought it would be useful, they’re unable to prioritize it at this time.

Here we go, the first Beta version with the Dimension tool. Still very basic, but more features are to come. Please try the Beta 27.7 (available in the Beta section in your Creative Cloud Desktop application), test the tool and give the team your feedback here in comments. and refer to roadmap to see what will be added later.

Yogesh,
In response to your questions:
1. This should be inside the Illustrator Software for the greatest Ease of Use (currently we purchase add-ons for Illustrator to perform this function but it is limited at best)2. The tool would be best if it could
A. Measure Angular Dimensions as well as the standard Horizontal and Vertical
B. Allowed for users to Set the Unit of Measurement (Inches, Points, Centimeters, etc)
C. Allowed users to set how specific the measurement (nearest tenth, hundredth, thousandths)
D. Placed the Measurements on a separate layer so they can easily be hidden or set to not print with the rest of the layout.Bryan Pagenkopf supported this idea ·

I am happy to share that ‘Auto spell-check’ feature has been shipped in the latest version of Illustrator. Here is how to enable/disable it in the latest release : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2020.html#spellcheck

There seem to be different ways people tackle the problem for color exploration. We want your opinion on the following two approaches -
1. Selected Swatches to show up in a panel view (like swatches).
2. Selected Swatches to show up as rectangular objects on the canvas (in a separate layer). Users can use eyedropper to pick up colors (ability to pick Fill, Stroke, Appearance in such cases).
Users can select size, spacing etc between the color palettes in both these approaches.

Not Solved.
If I have a step that does "Ungroup" and there is nothing to ungroup (this time) there is a popup stating "Ungroup Unavailable"
Click OK / CANCEL
If the art needs to be ungrouped I want it ungrouped, but if there is nothing to ungroup I don't need the popup holding up the Action.
