Hi Everyone, thanks for your comments. Re-opening it based on the feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSnapping to the grid is not working when the selected element is touching the artboard edge! That is so annoying and produces an imperfect placement of my elements!

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedCan you please be so kind to add an eyedropper for swatches / global color editing menu.
It would be super helpful to adjust global colors and swatches by sampling a color from the reference image, instead of manually tweaking the RGB/HSB sliders
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
This functionality is available in our latest release build – 27.6.1.
Hex code for the colors is visible in the Color and Swatch Option Panel. It will be visible for Global Colors as well. You can easily copy the Hex value by clicking on '#' icon before the code.

Thank you for all the feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedI'm unable to copy or paste HEX value when the swatch is set to Global color! Please implement this feature!

There are now several separate requests made, based on the feedback in this thread:
1. Regarding adjustable color and opacity for 3D shadows:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/47054086
2. Regarding presets for each tab in 3D and Materials panels: Object, Materials, Lighting:
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/47350001
All those who commented on the topic until October 16, 2023, are already added as voters there. If this is something you want to have for 3D and Materials in Illustrator — please upvote it. If possible — create new requests and bug reports about 3D, rather than commenting here inside. This will help the team to better prioritize efforts on making the feature better. As always — thanks for the feedback! It helps.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedPlease don't remove classic 3D Extrude & Bevel options. I'm using symbols to map the vectors on a 3D surface. I need vector output in Illustrator, not raster 3D renders, so please keep this feature in new updates.

Can’t reproduce. Please provide more info, about your OS, GPU, and screenshots of the 'shifting towards objects' you refer to.

Hi Paul,
We would need these files to reproduce this issue. Can you please share the same on my mail ID: anish@adobe.com
Thanks
AnishAn error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedUnfortunately 26.0.2 Illustrator update does not recover some complex files. I still got a warning message:
Illustrator could partially read this file and To preserve appearance some text has been outlined...Most of the file content is missing. I can only see one artboard with outlined text, expanded effects and all layers brokean apart... So frustrating!
It's funny that Affinity Designer can open the same file wit no problems! It's such a shame, Adobe!

Dear users,
You can now see a new 'save selection' button on the layers panel which enables to select multiple objects and save it for later use. Please try it out in BETA and let us know your feedback.

The team again asks for help with this issue, since there are not specific steps they can try to reproduce it — the nature of the bug is random.
If you are a Windows user, the next time you spot a missing or a duplicated number in Artboards panel, please follow these instructions below.
1. Open Task Manager
2. In Details tab, locate 'Illustrator.exe'
3. Right click it and choose 'Create dump file'
4. Wait until the dumping process is complete and click 'Open file location' button
5. Find 'Illustrator.dmp' (sorting files by date helps) and compress it with any archiving utility
6. Upload the archive to a file hosting service of your choice and sent the link for download to sharewithai@adobe.com. Please use the subject 'Artboards numbering bug dump'
This will help provide necessary clues to locate the source of the problem. If you are a Mac user —…

I switched to Figma, just because Adobe Illustrator lacks all these vital features for creating advanced layouts
