5 votesIllustrator introduced a new panel for creating 3D shapes in October 2021 — '3D and Materials'. Older effects are still available as 'Classic 3D'. If you want to give feedback about this feature, you can do it here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/938463/suggestions/44254299 or log in a separate report/request Ville Salervo

55 votesThe choice of the type of a symbol is sticky in the latest version of Illustrator. If a user toggles it to Static, it remains Static when another symbol is created — and vice versa. An error occurred while saving the comment Ville Salervo

255 votesThe most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added. Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them. The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. If you find this odd and want to change it — vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/45855823-sync-the-order-of-align-and-distribute-menu-comman Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too. 446 votesStarting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this. Ville Salervo

respondedAdobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins! Dear Illustrator Community, I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application. While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far. Our Approach We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator. It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across… Ville Salervo

Amen. I constantly create static symbols in my workflow and it feels annoying to have to select "static" every time I need one. On top of this, It's impossible to create a macro where a symbol is created with the "static" option because it isn't record.ed.
I think this should be an option in settings panel so that users could choose the functionality they prefer.
