An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedPlease please include an option for the Rotate View Tool to click-and-drag/pinch zooming, and anything else that might be effected to be relative to the current view.
For example, currently with rotation set to 180 degrees, if you click/drag or pinch to zoom it does not focus on the position of your cursor. Please allow us to work intuitively, relative the rotated view. IMO this should actually be the default as it seems to be the expected behavior. Thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedSorry I meant to post in feature requests, but this could be seen as a bug by some. Particularly the offset zooming.

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedPlease please include an option for the Rotate View Tool to translate the arrow keys, and anything else that might be effected to be relative to the current view.
For example, currently with rotation set to 180 degrees, if you use arrow keys to move an object left, you have to press the right arrow key. Please allow us to work intuitively, relative the rotated view. IMO this should actually be the default as it seems to be the expected behavior. Thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedJust another vote to make this change. Scrubby zoom is another thing affected by rotation. It does not zoom to the point where you begin the scrub. This in addition to the arrow keys and other things folks have mentioned below. Three years wait so far on this one? Egor, your point about Adobe taking too long to respond to requests is proven once again.
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedI love the new option to rotate the artboard. It is especially useful when working on dielines with panels that are facing different directions.
Currently when using arrow keys for nudging an object, the directions remain relative to the unrotated artboard. Meaning if you rotate an artboard 180 degrees, the up arrow moves an object down on the screen and vice versa.
It would be useful to be able to set the arrow keys to work relative to the monitor and not the artboard. That way if it is necessary to turn the artboard 90 degrees, the left arrow would still move the object to the left relative to the monitor rather than moving that object "down".

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedDouble clicking a graphic style should open a window similar to layer style in photoshop that allows editing that graphic style and gives the option to make the style global (to decide whether edits apply to anything that has the particular style applied or not). Graphic styles could be very useful, but at the moment the panel is very unintuitive. Thanks!

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedI am enjoying the new auto-linking functionality in illustrator, but seriously, why stop there? InDesign has perfected the link system. Let's make that universal! The accordion/instance function could be useful in both illustrator and photoshop, but i'll take the photoshop discussion to that forum. Let's be the united ecosystem we want to see in this world.

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedI have seen this problem for over 10 years. Can we get Illustrator to play nice with the GPU please! Every time I see this, which is almost anytime I work with clipping masks, I check out Affinity's progress to see if I can switch. This basic functionality should be a priority over all new features, particularly the AI garbage being tacked on. It's such a basic issue and so prevalent, I am a bit flabbergasted at the delay.

The latest Beta 28.8.0.19 now remembers the position of this panel and better picks the initial position.
Please try it, see if it makes it any more tolerable, and leave your comments.

Hello all, auto-find missing links feature is available in all the public builds starting V28.4. Please try out the functionality and let us know what you think!
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedThank you. That works, but sometimes links are broken up into multiple folders and "Search for missing links in this folder" won't do the trick.
I'd love an option to point to a folder before having to choose a replacement for a particular link. That way I could point Illustrator to a top level folder to search for all missing links within. If there are multiple files with the same name within the folder structure, we could be prompted to choose the file to which we intended on linking.
I think Blender might have an example of this functionality.
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedHow is this supposed to work? I just tried on Illustrator 28.6 on Mac Sonoma 14.5.
Added a bunch of links to document.
Saved.
Changed location of links. (links are now missing)
Located one link.
All remaining missing links in that same folder, remain missing.Am I missing something?
Also I agree with you for the most part, Egor. Affinity is young, but implementing stable functionality requested by users. Adobe is implementing AI functionality to replace the user while ignoring 15 year old issues that users struggle with every day.

Saving custom presets is now available in BETA starting V28.6.578.
With this new change, you can now configure your own document preset and save it for later use. To access this functionality, configure your preset from the File > New dialog (only for the modern one, the legacy dialog don’t provide it) and click the Save Preset button next to the document’s name in the top right corner of the dialog.
Your custom preset is now saved and accessible from the 'Saved' category.
Please try out this feature, so that if there are any feedback from you, we can resolve them and make this feature available to everyone.

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedJust checking in on this one! Shortcut for new from template (cmd+shift+n) still doesn't work on the home screen. Cmd+N works for a new document, Cmd+O works for open. It's just that pesky new from template. The shortcut only begins to work once a file is opened. After closing that file and returning to the home screen the shortcut no longer works.
I still try to use this every time I open illustrator. I don't recall it ever working.
I'm on a 16-inch, 2021 M1 Max Macbook Pro, using Illustrator 28.5.
Thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedHi Egor, thanks for your reply. I've never had an issue with the shortcut when I have a document open. Just on the home screen.

As it turns out the swatch was in use by the plugin.
If the same happens to you — try to check all the symbols, graphics styles, anything like this in the document that might use the swatch.
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedThanks! Initially it reappeared, and I had deleted all symbols, brushes, styles, anything i could think that could be using it, but it happened to be a swatch setting in the astute plugin AG Block Shadow. Thank you for helping me think this through.

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedThank you Egor. I tried it out some more, and I think understand how it works. The issue is that editing a color this way does not update the global swatch. Is there a way to link the output of the recolor artwork option to the existing global swatch?
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedThanks Egor. This panel is very complex and upon opening it, it changes all of my colors as seen in these two screenshots. I think find/replace color is a much more straightforward way to say "anywhere swatch A is used, change it to swatch B". I don't even know where to begin with the recolor artwork panel unfortunately. Thanks for your suggestion.

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedThanks, Egor. I didn't know of that option! I wish it was closer to the select options so it was more obvious.
I also wish there was a way to adjust multiple tints with differing fills at once. So tint settings would be independent of fills, but I know this is a kind of unique use case. So more generally I'm just looking for a robust selection system that can combine attributes granularly as described by the OP.
Thanks for the tip though. That will definitely come in handy!
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedI think this is a great idea.
An addition to select same tint on it's own would be nice, but to expand it so you can select the same tint % plus a fill or stroke would allow you to choose between selecting specifically any matching tint %, or a tint % of a particular fill.
Select same fill could then be made to select only the fill, whereas now it select the fill regardless of tint %, meaning if your goal is to select the same fill and change the swatch, any tints in use are discarded.
So a robust selection dialog with many parameters that can be combined in granular form would be a game changer.

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedAlso very interested in this. It is so difficult to paste hex codes into swatches. Seems like a no-brainer to add a hex field at the bottom of the prompt. Thanks!

An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedI should add that moving/nudging the .bmp slightly also changes it back to the correct color.

Hi Everyone,
The fix for this request is available in our latest release build – 27.3. The version is being rolled out.
What’s new in 27.3: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/whats-new/2023-2.html
Thank you for all the feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Marc commentedThank you for the update. I really wish this applied to editing global colors. Whenever you double click on a global swatch to edit, it defaults to CMYK. I have to switch this to HSV every single time.
Also would like to second the original poster that HSV should be the default. I work in both RGB and CMYK color spaces, but always start with HSV and then dial in CMYK numbers as needed.

Apologies for the repeated requests! And thank you for the responses and moderation. I don't mind you adding these at all. Looking forward to trying the new gradient swatch feature.
