Better Group Hierarchy after Create Outlines
It would help my pre production workflow a lot if it was possible to automatically create "separated" groups from text objects when I use create outlines on big chunk of text. For now one text block equals one object. It could be a function allowing me to produce single groups for every line shift for example.

I wish '□Scrubby Zoom' would work individually when zooming in and out in Photoshop and Illustrator.
I wish '□Scrubby Zoom' would work individually when zooming in and out in Photoshop and Illustrator.
When enlarging the screen, it is convenient to disable ‘□Scrubby Zoom’.
When zooming out the screen, it is convenient to check '▣Scrubby Zoom'.
I found it convenient because I didn't have to click multiple times to zoom out.1 vote -
AI: trace in style of...
the new text to vector tool is amazing, especially the match to artboard/ stylepicker functionality.
Now I would like to import a photo to the artboard of an existing Illustration and trace it in the same style/simplification of this already existing vector file.

Line Chart - make it possible to start line on value axis
I do often need the line to start on the value axis.
At this moment, I can't do this using the Chart-Tool, effectivly making these type of charts impossible to create without messing up the Chart by manually changing the axis.2 votes -
Be able to create a finished vector repeat tile from Pattern Editing Mode.
Currently, the only way for a designer to get a final tile from a repeat pattern created in pattern mode is a clunky workaround involving dragging the fill swatch art from the swatches panel to the artboard and then working with the bounding shape to create a cropped, repeatable tile for export. We need a button to click inside pattern mode that creates a tile from the artwork inside pattern mode that is perfectly cropped (could be a clipping mask) but will retain all the live content that typically gets expanded when you exit pattern mode. This option should allow…

Changing 'Screen Mode' forgets where the window was located
In Photoshop you can use the F key to cycle through screen modes: Standard, Full Screen + Menu Bar, and Full Screen. This works as intended.
In Illustrator however, when you cycle through screen modes it will forget where your window was previously positioned. Instead, it defaults to taking up the entire screen. This is a bug.

Crop Image to Artboard Option
When creating multiple graphics with high-quality images, it would be great if there was an option to select when cropping an image that automatically cropped the image to the size of the artboard.

I DON'T WANT Cloud Files.
I am so sick and tired of having to wade through cloud ****, JUST TO OPEN, SAVE, or otherwise work with files.
I don't need, or want, to save every file on Adobe's servers. It may make lots of sense for some, but not me. Stop making us jump through hoops to deal with local storage.

Add Find/Replace Color feature from InDesign
I would love to use the Find/Replace feature for color just as it is now used in InDesign. Changing a color that isn't global is tedious when you have many fills, strokes, patterns and gradients using the same swatch. Thank you.

Please improve the functionality of the files when multiple artboards are designed and the design is complex in nature.
Illustrator is hanging or freezing when complex path designs are being designed or multiple dartboards are designed in a single file.
I am using a MacBook Pro M2 Chip which is known for its processing and still facing so much issues with heavy and complex files.1 vote -
Blending Modes and Transparencies in Search / Filter in Layers
Could you consider incorporating Blending Modes or transparencies as additional filters in the Layers panel's new search feature, which is currently assisting us in sorting by images, text, and more?

PhysicsPak
Rather than proposing a new idea, I'm endorsing this tool that Adobe previewed in 2017 at the Adobe Max conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIRz9cuDbSc
This physics engine, and possibly similar tools that could do things like detect whether one shape was on top of another (something you can effectively do using selections in Photoshop), would be extremely useful and time-saving for many illustrators. It allows illustrators to see possible ways that symbols can be tossed or fitted together without going through the tedious work of fitting them manually.
With more spacing, you could call it nesting. With less spacing, you might call it…

Treat all objects as filled for selection tools (like in Corel Draw)
Corel Draw has an option, 'Treat all objects as filled', which allows select objects with no fills with just a click inside. While it’s 'not the Ai way' — this can be useful in some cases.
Just make sure it works properly in the Outline view( that is does not get applied at all).8 votes -
Increase size of anchor points / handles for curvature tool
anchor points / handles for curvature tool is too small for me. It would be better if I can change size like pen tool anchor points / handles size

Make Layers show which operation a compound shape uses, like 'Compound Shape (Subtract)'
Compound shapes have 4 different modes, and sometimes it’s important to be able to see which one is used when you work with the resulting shapes in Layers — especially if you nest shapes in several layers.. But at the moment Illustrator just display all of them as just 'Compound Shape'.
Compare these two structures:
Compound Shape
...> Compound Shape
......> Rectangle
......> Ellipse
...> Compound Shape
......> Rectangle
......> EllipseCompound Shape (Unite)
...> Compound Shape (Subtract)

...> Compound Shape (Intersect)

Area Type "Inset Spacing" option to set different values for top, bottom, left and right

I would like to set different values for the top, bottom, left and right in the "Inset Spacing" option of Area Type.
It's possible in InDesign; it would be more convenient if it could be in Illustrator.
Additionally, Japanese users often use Area Type to create tables. Different Inset Spacing makes it more adjustable.

Please make a user manual / user guide available online
Why isn't there a functional and useful user manual or user guide available online?
The lack of issuing any type of user guide is a huge missed opportunity. It seems this task has been Offloaded to the Adobe community. Adobe used to consider its customers/clients ones who deserved professional, well-organized, easy-to-use, comprehensive instructions and guides. Whatever happened to supporting those who put/keep you in business? I guess in the software business that's progress ...?
In today's digital/virtual world, it would be exceptionally easy to produce, share and update useful and robust supporting content. The current offering of tutorials is…

Object > Repeat > Mirror needs options for Flipping
Currently the only assignable option for "Repeat > Mirror," is the angle of symmetry. The option to flip the mirrored object (similar to the "Reflect," tool) would be useful for Mirror. Example: Illustrating the letter "S," or "Z," for asymmetrical designs. Similar options are already implemented in the "Repeat > Grid," function, but aren't present for "Repeat > Mirror".
