Area Type "Inset Spacing" option to set different values for top, bottom, left and right

I would like to set different values for the top, bottom, left and right in the "Inset Spacing" option of Area Type.
It's possible in InDesign; it would be more convenient if it could be in Illustrator.
Additionally, Japanese users often use Area Type to create tables. Different Inset Spacing makes it more adjustable.

Export images with an option of including or excluding bleed
It would be great to have the feature in an Export window (in one of the two attached).
The only way to remove the bleed is to remove document bleed temporarily or remove it manually in Photoshop.
We remove bleed before we add the artwork to our catalogues.

Make Global Edit work with guides
Guides in Illustrator are treated like objects. It does not suite everyone, and there is a request to make them a completely separate entity, like ones in InDesign, without them being able to get selected with 'normal' object, get grouped, etc.
Still, when a selection of a guide is made, it is expected for it to behave like a selection would do. We can transform them (rotate scale, flip, move), hide/lock individually... and it feels normal for a selected guide to be affected by the Global Edit feature.
However, it does not :(

Anchor point sliding (reposition point tool)
It would be nice to have an Anchor Point Slide function that transfers the anchor's position along the path without disturbing it, the same way nodes work in a 3D software. I find it very frustrating when I'm trying to reposition an anchor point without altering the path, but there's no way to do that.

How do we add copy and paste to the right click menu?
How do we add copy and paste to the right click menu?
In almost all Adobe products copy and paste are in the right click menu but I can't find a way to turn them on in Illustrator. How do I get them to show up or even request an update to the program if they aren't in the program for some strange reason. Why would they be left out? Can we also use scripting to add other useful commands to the menu to save time while we work?
7 votesIn case you missed it, latest Ai versions now do have Cut, Copy, Paste (all subcommands) in the context menus.

Image Trace Default black and white preset is grayscale after expanding
When you Image Trace, using the default black and white tracing preset and expand - the black and white are grayscale. When you double click the fill in the toolbar to choose a new color for the black or white, the resulting color is a shade of gray. Then, you have to go to the Color panel and change the sliders to a different color model to be able to see the color you chose. It would be easier if the black and white were aligned with the document color mode, RGB or CMYK instead. You don't encounter this issue if you apply color from a saved swatch, only when using the color picker.

3D-manipulation of grouped 3D-objects: please add this
It would be great if Illustrator could 3D-manipulate grouped 3D objects in 3D space. All I need is to be able to group and position individual 3D objects into a grouped 3D object, and then be able to position, rotate that mass of grouped 3D objects.
Thank you!7 votes -
Set all colour palette swatches to Global as default
Could we have all default swatches and custom colour swatches we select set as 'Global' when are working in a document? Or at least be able to select multiple swatches all at once and make Global? Why is the default 'non-Global' when colours are likely to be used regularly across multiple working files?

Toggle Radii in Ellipse Properties
When editing Ellipse Properties in the transform palette, it's be great to be able to turn off the radii segments in the ellipse, enabling a live shape which is an arc. At the moment you are limited to filled/joined sections.

Remove overlapping lines
Exported CAD drawings often contain many overlapping lines.
This makes such drawings difficult and cumbersome to work with, and often makes Illustrator hang.
The possibility to select an entire group of objects and, via a tool in the Object menu, remove all lines which extend parallel to and within a certain threshold distance from another line, would be great.7 votes -
Toggle Off Large Canvas Scaling when Saving as PDF
Any artboards created larger than 227 x 227 inches are changed to a large canvas setting, which adds a scale factor to the canvas. So Illustrator will say a document that is 300 x 300 is actually 30 x 30 and just scaled by 1/10 of the size. This setting causes issues with my printer software where it reads it as a 30 x 30 and not the true size, it is disregarding the scale factor. I have to take these files and chop them up into smaller panels to print them. When I chop them up it is still keeping that scale factor on the canvas when saving them as pdf, even if the canvas size is smaller than 227 x 227. The only work around I found is to take the large canvas and chop everything up in there then copy and paste it into a completely new document at the smaller panel size as a normal canvas setting and not the large canvas setting. I want the ability to toggle off the scaling feature when saving as a PDF so that when I go to print them on my printer it doesn't read the scaling incorrectly and just reads the actual canvas size. I feel like it could be added in the PDF save settings as a checkbox saying something like "Disregard Large Canvas Scaling" or something.
Also I want the ability to easily tell if something has been created in the large canvas setting, currently there isn't an easy way to tell if it has been created. Sometimes designers send me something that is less than 227 x 227 so I think it is a normal canvas and when I go to print I find out it was designed as a large canvas and then sized down so it still has a scaling factor put on the artwork.

Inertia scrolling aka "flick panning"
Scrolling around artboards should adhere to the OS standards of having some momentum to scrolling, or at least the option to enable "flick panning" like Ps
7 votesBeta 29.1.0.93 now has Flick Pan option, enabled by default, located in Preferences > Performance.
At the moment it works only for trackpad and Hand tool, not for middle-mouse pan or Spacebar pan.
Please try it and comment back.

Convert gradient properly on SVG instead of rasterizing when saving file as SVG Tiny 1.2
Currently, when you try to save an SVG containing gradients with SVG 1.2 Tiny profile, Illustrator rasterizes the gradient and embeds the rasterized image instead of properly converting it as a pure vector information. This reduces the qualify of the saved image a lot and it's no longer scalable with even further quality reduction.
SVG 1.2 Tiny specification supports gradients and so it would be really helpful if Illustrator kept the vector information from gradient. This is also necessary for BIMI logos (https://bimigroup.org/) as it doesn't support images/links in the SVG.

Make smart guides stop working with Ctrl key pressed, as in Photoshop and InDesign
The function of disabling smart guides by pressing the Ctrl key in Photoshop and InDesign, allows you to adjust the position of an object more accurately without having to go to the menu to disable them.

Paste in multiple (all / selected) layers
I'd like to paste on multiple layers simultaneously - e.g. copy something, select certain layers, Ctrl + Alt + V pastes it on all selected layers -> that would be helpful for multi-language files.

Add more Definitions to repeat
Allow more definitions to repeat feature.
The spacing is awesome and long overdue. and the brick and flip features are amazing.
But would like to be able to define the total repeats in a unit, not just in size of the repeat area. if we use it for production we want to be able to repeat 10 wide and 5 repeats high. not having to count them separately and having some cut in half. If we repeat 35 in a horizontal row it can take time to count the amount of total pieces. Also maybe add a small total of pieces info number in the repeat panel.
Maybe if we hold done ctrl it changes the amount of repeats and alt changes the spacing, and when you don't hold down any keys it just changes the repeat area as is default now.Allow more definitions to repeat feature.

Remove restrictions to useable keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl + Key for non-tools)
It would be great if the restrictions put in place for keyboard shortcuts regarding non-tools could be changed to include single key shortcuts (like tools). There is no valid reason that any of the File/ Edit/ Object/ Type/ Select/ Effect/ View/ Window shortcuts require using the Ctrl key. Indesign does this already just like many non-Adobe programs. It's time to change this.

Unify point tangent, angle\length\direction
Short rationales:
Point Angle - I need a way to control the exact angle of point handles to unify them across a design. Currently the only way to control the angle is to constrain it to vertical, horizontal, or 45 degree angles.Point Handle Length\Direction - If you grab a point handle and make it a different length or direction than the handle on the other side of a point, there is currently no way to re-unify them besides re-drawing the curve.
There is also no also no way to scale handle length along the direction or angle you’ve already set.More information:
Point Angle - There is currently no way to control the exact rotation of a point, so if for example, I need one point at 29 degrees and another at 82 degrees, there’s no way to specify this. Also, if I have a series of points across a design and I want all of the tangent angles to match, there’s no way to do it. This is especially troublesome when drawing type. Very often you want points at 0 degrees, 90 degrees and then an italic angle across all of the letters. The closest you can currently come to specifying that is creating a series of guidelines, but that can become very cumbersome and they don’t often aline with the exact point coordinates.Point Handle Length\Direction - Every single design that I use the pen tool on, I come across a situation where I either uncouple point handle directions, or lengths. If I want to get the perfect angle and direction set on one side and then want to match it on the other, I can’t. I have to use the Anchor Point Tool to redraw the curve, which causes the line to reset. This is also an issue when drawing things like type. If you use, for example, the Direct Selection Tool, and drag a handle out to create a shape, there’s no way to then drag the other handle out on the same line, or to unify it’s corresponding handle’s length.
