view Anchor Points
View Anchor Points selection under the view tab. I'd like to see Anchor Points anytime I click on an object if I have this view selected, not just a barely there blue line that is hard to tell what is clicked as it currently is when you select Show Edges under the view tab.
1 voteYou can enable this with 'Show Anchor Points in Selection Tool and Shape Tool' option in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Preview

When I try to type something it is shown with some prepared text
When i try to click the T button to create new text, it is shown already made some text example with a tag. This tag is hidden and if I click "show hidden character" it is shown with #.
Can I start with completely blind text function without this suggested pre-made alphabet arrangement looks like some word (but doesn't make sense, it is just look like preview of the text)?1 voteThe # symbol marks is included into any text at all, to help designers to see where text ends. There are other hidden characters that mark column breaks, paragraph returns, line breaks, special space symbols, etc.
The text that gets inserted when you create a new text helps to quickly see how text would behave on canvas with set font parameters. You can disable this option in Preferences > Type > Fill New Type Objects With Placeholder Text, if you find this irritating.

Allow the existing file to remain active when using "Save as"
When working in AI in a native file format, then saving as a different file format (ie PDF), the new file format is now the active file. In InDesign and PS, when you "Save as," your new file is saved in a folder but you are still able to continue working on your native ID or PSD file. I wish Illustrator would work this way, too. Or am I missing something in settings to fix this?
1 voteUse 'Save a copy' command instead of 'Save as', it does exactly what you want.

Allow calligraphic strokes for default fill/stroke
I regularly use a calligraphic stroke in my work. It would be good if a calligraphic stroke could be applied to the default fill/stroke settings via the Graphic Styles panel. This would save a lot of time in my daily workflow.
1 voteYou can reassign the default graphic style by Alt/Opt+dragging the path with the calligraphic brush applied to it over it [Default] style.

Layer clipping mask (a bit like a paste-inside on steroids!)
I'd like to be able to convert a shape into a layer clipping mask which would then allow sub-layers to be created/converted so that they only remain visible within in the shape's boundary and would subsequently honour any sub-layer effects applied therein.
Why?
Well at the moment I have to expand any paths with effects applied to layers so that any effect is captured inside the clipping mask. This results in a destructive edit to my artwork and file duplication so that I can revert to the previous editable state when I need to make any changes.
Background:
I regularly…1 voteAs Scott Falkner says in comments, you can clip a whole layer if you select a path you want to use as a mask, then open the Layers panel and select Make Clipping Mask from the flyout menu.

The way tool panels get customized was changed since the report, and it’s no longer possible to accidentally drag-n-drop tool without enabling the editing mode. If this still happens for you, please comment.

Turn Sensei Off and Presets
Sensei is making my life ****...what it thinks I want to do is not what I want to do, as such the bug I want to report is my "turn sensei off" button is hidden. For example when using the puppet tool I have to now delete all the pins Sensei thinks I want before I can do the thing I actually want to do making the task longer than it needs to take. That's just the latest (five minutes ago) example of how Sensei is messing up day. Give us a checkbox in preferences to turn Sensei off.
Presets…
1 voteThere is already a preference to turn off the Sensei feature that you spoke about. Go to preference , go to general tab and turn off the checkbox “Enable Content Aware Defaults”. This is the last option on the second column.
Units are part of presets so each time you create a file using a preset it will create using the units that was saved in the preset. To workaround this what you need to do is follow the following steps:
1. Press CTRL+N or CMD+M – depending on your platform
2. Select the preset of your choice e.g. A4 / Letter etc…
3. On the right pane change the unit to your choice like inches.
4. Create your file
5. The next time you come back to this file new dialog you should have this preset in your recent tab -
Add a setting for "Solid" in the leading field of the type panel
Illustrator defaults to "Auto" in regards to leading - about 120% of the point size of the type. When using display faces, I often find I set type a lot tighter - usually around the same leading as the point size. It would be really helpful if there were a setting for that in the type panel, so that as I change the point size of the type (say from 24 pts to 72 pts) the leading would also change automatically from 24 pts to 72 pts - just as it would from one size to another when the leading…
1 voteWe can change the value Illustrator uses as 'auto' in Justification dialog, which you can access via the Paragraph panel’s menu. Change 'Auto Leading' to 100% to get what you want.
If you want this setting to be applied to all new text objects, you should open Paragraph Styled panel, and edit the [Normal Paragraph Style].
If you want this to be applied to every new document you make, you should learn about editing document profile files Illustrator uses as core templates. Just don’t forget to backup these.

put the draw rectangle back into the standard and advanced toolbar
put the rectangle tool back into the toolbars
1 voteThere was a bug which allowed to accidentally drag-n-drop tools and insert them into other tools’ subgroups.
It was fixed by introducing a special mode to enable this. No accidents with lost tools should happen. Please comment back if it happens for you in latest versions.

Bug at the path points
My English is not good so I made a video to explain my problem.
This just happened in Illustrator 2019 but it was already in 2018. Only in 2017 does it happen. This problem only happens on this computer. On other computers I use does not happen. How do I solve this?
1 voteIt looks like you got your bounding box accidentaly disabled. Enable it back with Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+B hotkey or via View > Show Bounding Box command.

Blend shapes or lines along a curved path, like a "spline".
Type can be arranged along a custom curved path. Why not blends? As it is now, if I want to arrange repeating vertical lines along a curved horizontal path, I have to: create the blend in a straight line, then: line by line, go along the blend cutting off bits to match the curved horizontal baseline. I can make it look decent, but it takes quite a while.
1 voteAs per the comment, you can replace the spline in a blend via Object > Blend > Replace Spline, if you have a blend and a new spline path selected together.

Change stroke color of custom brush
I've downloaded a few custom brushes & their colors don't change. They're black, that's it, no matter what stroke color I choose in the palette. I don't like having to expand their appearance just to change their color. In a few projects that I'm working on, I want to be able to try a few different brushes in the color that I like (and be able to change that color, too) + at any point that I wish to change that brush again in the future & maintain that color. You get it. Hoping this is a simple thing the…
1 voteA brush can be customized to maintain the chosen color in several ways, including None (to keep the original color set in the brush), Tints, Tints And Shades, and He Shift.
Read more about these here: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/brushes.html
in 'Colorization options for scatter, art, and pattern brushes' section.

CINEWARE AS A NATIVE TOOL
You should add the Cineware plug-in into Illustrator's architecture as a native tool, such as After Effects and its Cineware.
1 voteIt’s up to Maxon to build a third-party tool to allow a seamless bridge, and the solution already exists: www.maxon.net/cinema-4d/features/cineware-for-illustrator

If you still have the issue, please comment back.

Eyedropper shortcut
If I have a box with a gradient stroke (as an example) and I want to then fill it, if I use the eyedropper to grab the color from another object, it overrides and deletes the stoke. I would like to be able to use the eyedropper on fill or stroke without deleting it's counterpart. Right now it's a long process of clicking off my shape, eyedropping the color, copying the color value, reselecting the object, double clicking the fill or stroke, and pasting in the value. It adds up to a lot of time lost for something that should…
1 voteTo make Eyedropper pick and apply only fill, without modifying the stroke, you need to open the tool’s options, and uncheck the ‘Focal Stroke’ option in the left column. This will force Illustrator to ignore the stroke from the source object, and your target object will keep its original stroke.
Use other options there to fine tune the tool to your needs.
There is a similar resolved request that is about the same thing — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/38241262

Can't place the anchor point at the spot I want
Anchor point keeps on placing at the spot I do not want. If I click on the canvas to place an anchor point, it places distances away from where I wish to place.
1 voteMost probably caused by having the Snap to Grid option enabled (or other snapping options) in View menu

Lock or unlock Navigator View from General View. Two Separate Views
During my work I need to have two different views of my artboard or canvas. Now the Navigator panel and General view showing me the same view.
Adding an option that will allow to have two separate view can enhance my workflow. That can be achieved if we will have an option to lock or unlock Navigator View from General View.
1 voteThere is no need to use Navigator panel for this.
Just call Window > New Window, untab it (if you use tabs), resize and reposition it the way you like, and work within the main window — all the changes you make are going to be rendered in real time in the second one.
