  1. Import later versions of dwg

    I would love to see an update so that you can import later versions of dwg files than AutoCad 2007. Most of our clients are working in later versions so it has become a big problem for us not being able to import these files into Illustrator.

  3. Add option when creating New View to opt out from changing zoom level

    The custom Views is a godsend for complex artwork, but sometimes it would be nice to keep the zoom level and toggle only the Layers settings (visibility, lock status, etc). So either an option when saving the custom View, or a program-wide preference setting would be highly appreciated. In this way, the request for a layer visibility toggle shortcut could also be partially addressed.

  5. Tapered basic brush

    The current basic brush does not allow the user to use it. if you want a basic line with flat ends you would need ot create it as a new brush or use other tools. But a basic line for the brush tool with tapered edges. Or at atleast the same exact basic brush. just with the option to change the porametors.

  7. Add "Sort Libraries" feature to the library palette

    Assets in Libraries can be sorted (e.g. "by date" or "by name") - but if you manage (and share) several libraries, they cannot be sorted.

    On the cloud web front end libraries CAN be sorted, but this sorting will not be updated in the application palettes.

    For clarity reasons, this feature should be included ASAP.

  8. Option to turn off swatches automatic naming by color

    Swatches get named by the color code automatically. This ends up conflicts with swatches with same color definition. Even in preview mode in global swatch I get message that same name exists. Really annoying and I have to name swatch 'asdfasfdasdf' mostly.

    Suggestion: Option turn off naming by color, but name like swatch 1, swatch 2.

  10. Cannot Resize - Bounding box reset doesn't help

    I have tried resetting the bounding box of everything on my artboard and it doesn't work I cannot resize text or images!

  11. Show all tabs when switching to fullscreen mode

    When switching to Full Screen Mode I can only see the document I'm working with. Why not show all the open documents like tabs?

    I don't understand why the tabs disappear just because I'm switching to fullscreen.

  14. Illustrator or Photoshop for digital drawing??

    I am a digital artist. I didn't see a thread about difference between this two software , and it seemed like no one has given their impressions on this oftware so I wanted to put together something quick to kickstart a discussion or something.

    Illustrator is a vector based application and Photoshop is an image editor. That means Photoshop works with pixels and Illustrator does not.   15. Shorter toolbar size

    Hi, any chance of being able to have an option of a shorter version of the Tools palette. When I have it set to single column using a 15" MacBook this runs off the bottom of the screen. I know I could set it to double column but I like to have a maximum working area. Just a thought…

  17. Discard all Overprints

    I work specifically in digital prepress for POP displays, and never use overprinting at all. Removing overprinting from a document can be a hassle as I work with documents that almost always contain a mix of solid objects, linked raster images and other things. I consider myself extremely lucky when I find a document that I can easily remove all overprints from in one go

  18. Reset symbol rotation and scale independently

    It would be nice if we had the option to reset symbol transformations independently.

    For example, only the scale (keeping the same rotation) or only the rotation (keeping the same scale).

  20. Allow to customize colors for handle controls, anchors, and paths edges (permanently and context-based / on the fly)

    It would be helpful if you could make the color of pen tool handles distinguishable from the anchor color, even just a slight difference would be helpful.
