Add hot key feature for Trim View in Illustrator. Have it function like when you hit "W" in InDesign.

Add ability to sort or reorder Objects on Path
Love the align to path tool. It has made things so much easier.
One suggestion, however, would be to rearrange the order of elements you aligned. Ideally, you would allow us to sort elements and give certain properties like HUE, Transparency, Size, Rotation, and then we could easily make things like fading shapes to signify movement or just by size where the bigger things were aligned at the end.
You could even make a series of tools like the Symbol Sprayer tools that let you manipulate the pieces on the path by spreading in areas and shrinking areas. Resizing or…

Make Split into Grid to create warped grids based on shape if needed
Split to Grid should learn how to split into more than just squares. Look at your Mesh tool, it obviously knows how to split different shapes, just move that code to the split tool would make it about 329983% more useful.

Feature Request: Manual Adjustment for Pattern Brush Guide Path
I am a batik illustrator from Indonesia who uses Adobe Illustrator daily for creating intricate and detailed designs. Pattern Brush is one of the key features I rely on to develop seamless and repetitive motifs.
However, I have encountered a significant limitation: when creating a Pattern Brush, Illustrator automatically places the guide path (the green line) exactly at the vertical center of the artwork’s bounding box, without offering any option to reposition it manually.

Add an option to open the folder with exported images that stays for some time on scree
I think it would be great if we could see a "View on Computer" or "Go to Folder" option on the screen, floating in the middle of nearly 5-7 seconds. So if we have to use it immediately we can go there with no effort... I'm writing it for Asset Export but I think this feature should be it for any save and export option on every Adobe software.

Artboard Properties as Menu Commands
Add "Maintain Width and Height Proportions" to Menu Commands so that it can be assigned a shortcut. Other artboard features like "Move artwork with Artboard" and "Scale artwork with Artboard" would also benefit from this, I lose a lot of time checking and unchecking these boxes.

Font Family field (and others) in Character panel (and others) doesn’t get resized
If we dock Character panel together with a panel that can be resized (like Layers), we get the ability to resize both.
Sound useful if you need to long font names... but this is the filed that doesn’t get resized.I don’t really object against the layout of the panel (although it’d benefit from getting reshuffled, adaptive layouts is not a new thing in UI), but perhaps Ai should resize fields at least?

Zoom on text in panels and dialogs, for better accessibility
Give us the ability to zoom in on text in all panels and dialogs. People have dyslexia, meres-irhlen syndrome and even just bad eyesight. Nobody wants to have their face two inches away from their screen just so they can see what they’re reading. This would have the added benefit of making presentations in a classroom setting more easy and thus, would make more people interested in subscribing to the software.

Remember if Artboard or Asset Tab Last Used in Asset Export dialog
Please remember the last tab in the Asset Export window I was on. It defaults to Assets when I usually use Artboards due to the naming convention I build across artboards. GUI for it is still a bit rough and could use some enhancements. Thx

Allow to specify the bevel parameters for objects extruded with 3D & Materials Extrude & Bevel in absolute units instead of a relative value
The way that Illustrator adds the bevels is weird.
Height = 50%. 50% of what? If I'm working in inches and I have a 10" x 10" object that I've extruded 1", I should know that I want the bevel to be 0.125", adding ⅛" to my 1" height. Being able to put in 0.125" as my bevel height would make more sense.
If I have an object that I want to extrude 1", then it is really important that I know it is 1". However, if I extrude the object and then apply a bevel, Illustrator begins to add…2 votes -
Type Automation/Modulation Tool
A automation/modulation tool allows type to be edited based off different parameters. (ex. typewriter function that allows more ink bleed onto random letters on a body of type). Similar to music production automation/modulation in that there would be values from 0-100 and then those settings could have a parameters (ex. setting the bounds of the automation from value of 80-100 and then having the ability to randomize that automation between those values). The highlighted text that needs automation/modulation would have a separate window with a linear grid to adjust each individual character and a drop down menu of what parameter…

Dimensions Tool 3 Improvements
1- Make dimensions styles saved with your artworks. So when you open different artworks at different scales, it remembers "by default" just like color mode or artwork size.
2- Have dimensions presents to be saveable and loadable.
2- When you update dimensions styles, have a button "update artwork" that will automatically update, if we choose so, existing dimensions placed in the artwork. Therefor we don't need to re-trace everything.

Able to specify triangle inner angles
Would it be possible to have an 'advanced' triangle dialogue box where you can specify the angles?. I often need to use this for creating conical cutter guides – I know I can use the rotate tool and use strokes, but feels like it could be much easier as it's very long-winded.

Double-click with Direct Selection to enter Isolation mode.
You can only enter Isolation mode by double-clicking with the Selection tool. Why doesn't the Direct Selection tool work for this? Or the Group Selection tool, for that matter? Was there ever even an explicit design decision made that only the Selection tool should be able to do this?
I do the vast majority of my selecting with the Direct Selection tool, and about 50% of the time when I want to isolate something I just try double-clicking on it with the arrow-shaped tool I'm currently using, and grumble because it doesn't work, and hit the hotkey for the unloved…

Allow more modeling options for 3D extrusions
Give us more extrusion options. It's crazy that you can make a cylinder, but no possible way to make cuts through. I have attached examples to where I made the type of structure I'd need in Blender. In AI you can create a cylinder but no way to make holes through the structure. You can do this with an extruded rectangle but not cylindrical objects.

No puedo cambiar el tamaño de los objetos
Desde hace unos meses que no he sido capaz de volver a utilizar illustrator porque NO ME DEJA CAMBIAR EL TAMAÑO DE LOS OBJETOS/ELEMENTOS. Esto quiere decir que para mi caso, la palicación se ha vuelto inútil. Supongo yo que es un bug de mi programa pero inlcuso desinstalando y volviendo a instalar. No funciona. Esto es muy frustrante y he tenido que migrar a otras aplicaciones de diseño, y francamente lo odio. Alguien me puede ayudar por Dios??? Eso es DESESPERANTE.

2 votesYou’ve accidentally turned off the bounding box it seems, probably with the Ctrl+Shift+B hotkey. Press it again to enable it back or use the menu command for this: View > Show Bounding Box.

Better control over position of symbol in mapped classic 3d art
When placing symbols for image maps in the classic 3D palette, I'd like to have more control over the position of the symbol to be mapped.
Example: I'm using this function for mockups of labels on bottles. There are a number of bottles, each a different flavor, let's say 4. (The bottles are placed images.) I create a cylinder sized to the bottle image's label area, and map a label symbol to the cylinder for each flavor. The labels need to be in the same place on each cylinder, both size and position. Is there a way to turn off the "Help Toolbar" (grey bar with "?") at the bottom of the screen?
Can this be a Preference to be turned off if not needed? It eats into valuable real estate at the bottom. I used to be able to view an 8.5 x 11 document @100% on my 27" iMac. Now I have to reduce it down to fit.
