Transparency mask not displaying correctly, exporting error
When using transparency mask, strange bars of masked areas appear in the artwork. This error occurs in when I export the graphic as a jpeg, etc.
OMG I'm not alone, I was flattening them or rasterizing them in illustrator and that seem to work until today. I had a issue with the opacity mask turning dark on me. anyone have any more ideas?

I'm having same issue..brand new iMac...when render the opacity mask to jpeg...its not showing was at all
so ive found a long way around this problem. i was trying to export AI's as BMP's but kept getting a Transparent area at the top of the image which I think is called a bounding box. I discovered that if you save the image as a PNG and select "use artboards" then this saves the image without the transparent area.
you cant select artboards when saving as BMP directly hence this process.
Then re-open all the new png files, and export again to bmp files. Unfortunately this takes a while but it got the job done without having to crop or mess about with the images.
hi folks i have the same issue - i dont even know what to search for to google the problem. Every time i try to export as bmp, png or jpg, there is a bar of transparency at the top of the exported image. how to get rid of this?
Same issue here! Working on a brand new iMac. Exporting jpegs from Illustrator does not render correctly.
Same bars as you are having.
