Screen rendering issue w/ Illustrator CC 22.1
If I have the "GPU Performance" enabled, my screen goes crazy with just glitches and artifacts everywhere. As soon as I deactivate the GPU rendering, everything is going to be normal again.
My specs :
Macbook Pro 15" mid 2014
2,8 Ghz Intel Core i7
16 Gb ram
mac OS 10.11.6
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB
I use a dual monitor setup (laptop + an external 23" 1080p monitor). The issue described above only occurs on my 23" (non retina) monitor. I found a temporary trick: I have to drag the affected window on my laptop screen (where everything is fine, no glitches here) and then drag it back again to my 23" screen. This trick will make the glitches disappear until I'll reopen the file…

Having a similar problem on a PC running Windows 10. I have 8GB of ram. IT is going to add more ram so I have at least 16 GB, but I have to wait until they're able to do it.
Glad I found this thread and was able to fix the issue by disabling GPU Performance.
My problem wasn't as severe-looking as the OP's, but it still made Illustrator unusable. When I updated to 22.1, everything was slow. I was no longer able to even move an object without having screen rendering issues. Parts of the object would be left behind. The measurement labels would leave trails across the screen. These things would disappear only if you scrolled up/down or moved to a different program and then back to the Illustrator window.
Now with GPU disabled, I'm able to do everything as before, but of course graphics appear fuzzy...
I updated Photoshop and InDesign at the same time, but had no issues. If more ram would fix this problem, it would be great if you guys would update your ram recommendations.
