Transparent PNG linked into AI drawing
I've exported transparent PNG's from Photoshop, and I'm trying to work on an Illustrator drawing with them, so I can eventually put them into my InDesign doc. So, I link in a PNG to Illustrator and it decides to read it as though it has a white background. So, naturally, I don't realize this because I'm working on a white artboard until I get into InDesign and the art is blocking the master, leaving me to go back into all my illustrator files to replace a linked file with embedded artwork. What's the point of linking a file if it won't read it correctly?
