Steps Taken
Launched Illustrator tried to open a file, Illustrator hangs and won't recover. Had to force quit illustrator. See attached movies.
Expected result:
Open or create a new file
Actual result:
Nothing; Ilustrator just hangs and has to be force quit.
Additional steps taken;
Restarted my laptop and ran fsck via single user mode
Cleared all caches for illustrator and reset preferences.
Restarted my laptop again.
No change in how illustrator works.
See attached movies showing both workflows not working.
Reverting to V22 to get my work done.

Also, I'm using Windows 10 version 1803.

YES! I'm having the same issue with both 2019 and 2018. First it was just the 2019 version. Anytime I create a new document or try to open a document, the screen glitches and it looks like a TV with stripes of white noise. Then I have to force quit. I'm using the newest version of Windows 10 and it's a powerful machine, so I shouldn't be having problems. Please Adobe fix this issue because I used to use Illustrator all the time until it stopped working completely. Subscriptions are too much to not have a working version of Illustrator at hand through the Creative Cloud.

I'm having the same issue. Tried deleting preferences and other software files, nothing. Updated everything, restarted, nothing. Really need to get work done and I'm stuck. The problem is that Illustrator 2018 version is doing the same thing now. Ugh!
