Paragraph panel is missing text direction buttons (Right to Left)
Paragraph Direction options are missing even after adjusting the language in Preferences
Wesam, do you mean the text alignment or the object alignment?
wesam abubaker commented

Hebrew, Arabic, and Persian text displays in the wrong direction. The leftmost character displays on the right, and vice versa.
Text direction needs to be automatic based on character set, NOT on a global configuration setting. Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian characters should always be displayed right to left, even when mixed with English or other characters that go left-to-right.
Otherwise it is impossible to create documents that contain both English and Arabic text; one or the other will be always displayed backwards, which is just dumb.
Windows Notepad got this right years ago.
I cant find the paragraph tool(RTL paragraph direction )
Same problem, I cant find left to right direction option ?!
Here is another screen shot
If you do Hebrew you should use Creative Cloud ME
I am in Illustrator 2020 and there is right to left type tool plus paragraph direction arrows and option for single line or every line Middle Eastern
Are you in ME? Illustrator 2020 has the right to left tool in the toolbar and the writing directions on top
If you do Hebrew you should be in ME

I fixed this issue by going to "Paragraph Styles" window, creating a new style, I called it Arabic, went to Paragraph Style Option and under "Basic Character..." I selected my default Arabic font (this step is optional), then for "Advanced Character..." set Language to "Arabic", and in "Middle East Character..." set Digits to "RTL Arabic", and Character Direction to "Right to Left"
Now, whenever I need to type or work with Arabic text I use this Paragraph Style, you can change the font in the regular Character Window.
totally agree why get rid of it????
