Guides are too thin and barely visible
Since the last update (23.0.4) guides are almost invisible, especially when using the document grid in combination.
This is only the case when GPU performance is on. When it's switched off, the guides appear as usual. In the previous Illustrator version this problem didn't exist...
The strange thing is: while dragging other guides, or making a rectangle selection with the Selection Tool, the guides become thicker again. But, when I release the mouse again, they become thin again.
I work on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) model, NVIDEA GeForce GT 750M 2GB Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB. MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.4. I also work on an external screen.
EDIT Now I've opened another document, the guides behave as usual again...

I've just noticed this issue after an update on Illustrator 2025 (29.4). Same exact behavior — almost too thin to see in a "resting" state, but normal thickness only while being dragged. Obviously a bug, and I don't understand why Adobe doesn't conduct some sort of quality control to make sure existing features don't break from an update. This kind of stuff might seem minor, but can totally ruin your workflow.

I'm experiencing this same issue — it's nearly pointless to even have guides when they are this hard to see. On top of that, the way that the visibility turns "on" and "off" depending on what you are selecting is insanely distracting. I'm attaching a screen recording which makes these issues obvious.
Adobe, we all give you $50+ a month. With the hundreds of millions of dollars at your disposal, you can absolutely afford to make guides not do this. And the answer better not be "just trash all of your preferences so that we don't have to fix this"

After the latest Illustrator 24.1.2 update, guides, when they are not selected are barely visible. As seen in the attached file.
Can we fix this bug please? Thank you!

Same problem: In GPU mode are the guides like 50% cyan.
In CPU mode normal 100% cyan.
