A document got flattened on reopening, no layers
Hello Adobe, I created a complex layered design, I saved it, and turned my computer off on 7pm, and when I turned my computer at 4pm in the next day, all the layers is gone, all of them flattened into a single image so I can't do any further editing. Please help, this is a serious bug in AI, thank you

I doubt it’s relevant, but something like this can happen if one 'saves' a document into a PDF format without the compatibility option checked. This forces Ai to import a PDF, with all the original data like layers being lost.
Was it the case, I wonder? If not, and it still happens occasionally, please share more details.
