"show images in outline mode" doesn't work (Document Setup)
Image doesn't show when option is on. It used to a while ago...

This option only works when you are viewing your documents as outline using CPU mode only, not GPU. While this is a known problem, voting for this issue is important for the team to estimate the importance of this limitation.

Not sure if you still need this, but I had the same question and figured it how after a few tries
So basically what you need to do is:
1. Put the image in a different layer
2. Go to layer options and select "template" and "dim image to 100%"It should work now!
