You can ungroup it, but it will lose it's graph editing abilities.

I found an easy solution to this! Copy and paste the graph into InDesign first. Then Cmd + C + Ragain from InDesign and paste into Illustrator.

The graph will have all the correct text and is fully editable.

1. The cut-then-paste work-around did it.
2. Please Adobe, let us scale things easily.

The hard part is that there is no snap to path/graph (so can’t really reverse engineer size via an overlaying box/circle). There is no measurements in the transform tab either so this makes the graph practically unusable in more exact/komplex designs.

Wow, I can't believe this is actually NOT a feature! I've been scouring through google to find a solution thinking I'm missing something when in fact, Adobe Illustrator is to blame for this obvious and necessary feature not being available. Your chart making capabilities needs to be more robust as well.

WHY CAN'T WE SCALE GRAPHS. THIS IS SO BASIC. IS ADOBE BASIC? STOP BEING BASIC. SCALE THE GRAPHS.

This is a critical functionality for infographics and you've all but left it as something a child would have shown at an Adobe Max SNEAKS reveal with it's current level of development in comparison to the level the rest of the entire OS has reached.

Also, take it back out of the **** backlog and drop it in the current beta. This should be a priority for how dilapidated you've left this feature. If one brick of the program looks like garbage, so does the rest of it.

Completely agree. And the comment below from Studio_1201 is useless if you want to maintain your data in case something changes. I was able to resize graphs easily last year. Also, you can't use align features with editable charts either. So irritated right now.

It's an insult to designers, especially in the age of data, that we can't properly use the graph tool without having to enter the data and officially break it before having the ability to scale it like any other vector object. Please get with the program and make it a scalable vector with data intact and editable.

It's ridiculous that in 2020 the idiotic software engineers at Adobe haven't made the connection that we need to be able to scale a simple graph without botching the data.

All you need to do is ungroup(cmmd+Shift+G) the chart, Adobe illustrator will prompt you:

"The selection contains a graph. After a graph is ungrouped you will no longer be able to access its graph style, its data, or change its graph design."

Press Yes and it is done!

My bounding box on my graphs are not appearing - this is incredibly stressful! I have already tried to hide and show the box multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled the program and it still does not work!

It is not just the graphs, groups of vector objects also suffer.

Related to this: it doesn't seem possible to use the Align panel to manipulate graphs.

Graph tool Pie Chart can't expand or resize. This seems like a legacy bug that has crept back. Some threads online from 2013 reporting same issue. All transform fields are grayed out, when I go to expand in menu nothing happens no error no nothing. It did not used to be like this. I really wish that every time you did an update adobe you did not break a bunch of just standard features that used to work.

Try going to view and click hide bounding box then go back and click show bounding box.
