shadowing of spot-overprinting-die-line in 4 color work after saving as PDF from Illustrator
Customers Illustrator 2021, 4 color work has a spot color die overprinting. When saving PDF with all layers the die-line cast what looks like a burn area of die.

 commentedI had something like this. The Dieline had an overprint attribute PLUS a transparency setting applied (like Color Burn or Multiply). When the Dieline visibility is switched off in Acrobat, the colour change caused by the transparency effect remains in the other colours. The same is not true when viewing in Illustrator. I fixed it by switching transparency of the Dieline elements to Normal, using Overprint only to achieve the desired result. Hope that helps!
