Export to EMF
I create new file in illustrator
Add Text area and export as emf (or wmf)
After then open in illustrator my emf file. Text is destroyed

I only create new file, copy/past text and export it to emf
parameters is default.
same problem when i open emf file created on other program and export the file on emf. After save figure in file is destroyed
I need to get emf file to insert him into word file and bee able to edit the file in future(Edited by admin) -
When kerning other than 0 is used (and it is probably set to Auto or Optical in your original file), Illustrator has to split lines into sections to retain those custom letter spaces while exporting to EMF/WMF (both formats do not support kerning).
That is when you read the file back, they stay split. That is expected,
It gets that bad because the font set is different. The original file uses Myriad it seems, while the imported one has Arial — change it back to fix the letter-spacing.Why it gets changed though is a mystery...
Does Ai show you any messages on import?
