James, can you package the project you have problems with via File > Package and email the archive to sharewithai@adobe.com, including the link to this report (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/44478717)?
The team will check if something specific breaks it. -

No linked images are showing up in links panel. I need to have them in the links panel so I can manage them as files are updated or replaced.
