AIT file does not open as a new AI file when opening from One Drive.
I updated to Adobe Illustrator V26.0.3 today. And now AIT file opens as AIT file.
It should open as a new AI file when opening from AIT file since it is a template.
FYI, I am using MacBook Pro M1 2020, and MacOS Motley V.12.1.
Doen anyone getting the same problem?
---Additional Comment---
After testing, I found out that this is happening when I open an AIT file from my One Drive folder.
When I copied AIT file on my desktop, then it opened as a new AI file as it was used be.
For more details, I am using One Drive App (V.22.002.0103.0004) which I recently updated on Jan-26-2022.

Microsoft OneDrive does not open .ait files correctly.
Expected: An .ait file should open as "untitled".
Bug: When a folder of .ait files are shared by OneDrive .ait files become fully edited when opened. This allows the template file to be edited and overwritten.
The workaround is to "Save As" and overwrite the .ait file. When re-opened it will open as "Untitled".

Hi Egor,
Thanks for your checking.
I think this happens when I opened existing AIT file which was already saved in One Drive before recent update "V.22.002.0103.0004" for One Drive App.
Once I copied & pasted the AIT file on Desktop, and opened from there, it worked fine. Strangely, then I opened the same AIT file from One Drive, now it opens as a new file, and works fine now.
However, for other AIT file that never opened from other than One Drive, it never opens as a new file.
I hope you understand what I mean. And hope this helps solving issue.

I asked two my friends to check this on their Macs: to create an .ait file, put it in a freshly installed OneDrive and try to open it from there with a double-click. In both cases a new file got created, no the template opened.
Well, this needs more checking then, and probably an Adobe tech staff member to check one of your machine...

Thanks for your checking.
Since I have 2 MacBook Pros (the same model as on above), I tested on both devices. And the same thing happened.
Since you stated that it is working on Windows, I guess this is happening on Mac only?
Anyways, I hope this solves soon! I just keep overriding my template file since then by mistake, because it was used to open as a new file... -
Hm, does not happen on Windows.
OneDrive folder is just a folder here, there is no difference with others, except for the Status column. Will ask some users if they have the same behaviour as you do. -

Hi Egor,
I mean for opening is double clicking from Finder.
Thanks! -
Just to be sure: by 'opening' you mean double-clicking a file in the Finder? Not File > Open?
