Measurement labels cannot be deactivated
In "preferences" the option to disable "Measurement labels" does not work: they always remain active. It needs to be fixed because it is very annoying when drawing. Thank you.

The answers are not relevant. He asked about the setting of the measure label in the "Preferences" panel which does not work: if you deactivate it, the label always remains active.

Smartguides should allow text objects to snap to visible edges of the text object OR the text bounding box. (In addition to the baseline, which should remain the default.)

When beginning to type text (on a layer) the cursor insertion point doesn't show up before the first character is typed. Where is it?

Create a setting to just display the font family name, not every variation in the font type ahead selection boxes (Character Panel and Toolbar.) It's unwieldy when typing in "Helv" for example because I have over 100 variations of weights and versions of Helvetica (and Helvetica, Helvetica LT, Helvetica Neue, Helvetica Neue LT)

Attributes Panel > "Don't Show Center | Show Center" works only after toggling the setting many times.

Fix "Display Measurement Labels" so that it works because it doesn't respect the setting.
