Why won't Illustrator reapply SVG filters if the curves of the image has changed?
-
Yeah, I get it now. The stack does not behave.
This can be a shared problem, so pleased do contact AG directly in case they can offer a fix from their side. -

The curves are modified with the Astute Graphics plugin after applying my own custom SVG filter to the image. But the curves are applied to both the image and the filter. I only want to apply the curves to the image. I tried to change the position of the filter before and after the curves but it does not change the result. The SVG filter functionality is provided by Illustrator, so this is an Illustrator issue. Illustrator should automatically reapply any SVG filter and recompute the results after the image has been changed (in my case change of curves).

Well, perhaps a custom made SVG filter is used, right?
I mistook it for Astute Graphics’ Duotone effect. Sorry, I should have read it with more attention than I had. -

Looking at the stackexchange thread, we think this SVG issue is completely separate from the use of Phantasm thereafter. To confirm, please can you contact Astute Graphics via https://astutegraphics.com/contact-us and provide more details, using the email associated with your Astute Graphics account. Thanks.

Hey, interesting.
But why do you call a Phantasm effect 'an SVG filter'? It is a third-party tool by Astute Graphics, so I will re-address this issue to them.
