I am running Mac OS X Monterey (12.6.5) and Illustrator 2023 on an Intel Mac (Mac Pro 2014). Unusual bug: when I try to save an .ai file to the Desktop, no problem. However, when I try to save to a Dropbox folder, I get a message that I do not have access privileges and I get the -5000 code. I can first save to the Desktop and then drag to the Dropbox folder When I try to do the same in Adobe Photoshop: no problem, so it appears to be an Illustrator-specific issue. I have tried: restarting computer, fixing Dropbox permissions, reinstalling Dropbox, and updating Illustrator. This would seem to be an issue of Illustrator (and not Photoshop) saving to a Dropbox folder on a Mac.
