compound paths and gradients
So I made a pie chart, then applied 3D, expanded its appearance, and then made it a compound path to apply a gradient to it and it has been **** on earth to work with. It has funny artifacts that I can't even edit or look at. One of the elements fills the element with the gradient instead of just the outline. I managed to fix it by moving it around and playing with it but it will probably happen again.

Paola, it’s hard to do anything with this report without the actual file...
There are many ways to do what you described, even following the steps at much close to what you wrote — so unless you add one, it’s hard to tell anything. Can you share it?
