Type on path not converting to outline

Version of Illustrator: 27.7
I have an artwork which includes some type on a path (circle). When I go to send the file to a printer (PDF), I always outline the text as we've had issues in the past. For this artwork I've selected all the content and selected 'Convert to Outline', which has worked fine on all the type except the type on a path elements which just disappeared. I restarted Illustrator, but this didn't solve the problem.
The Type on a Path was part of a group, so I then drilled down to an element level and tried each part in turn. It was a bit random, one part would outline, while othesr just disappeared again. The font being used was Knockout by Hoefler&Co.
After a few attempts I managed to get some parts to outline while others continued to disappear so I had to make up a new group using those paths that did outline properly.
I've never experienced this bug before, so perhaps it's something new?

The issue appears to be fixed in 27.8.1.

I am still having this problem. I tried to change my type on path to outline and it disappeared.
The thumbnail/preview also looks very strange; the image is very small on a big white background.

Hi Egor, thank you for your reply and apologies about the late follow-up.
I've tried outlining the same file today (text on a path) and it appears that the v27.8.1 update has fixed the issue.

I had the same problem and it seems to be fixed in the Beta. To reproduce: create a new Illustrator document. Create some text on a path in the document. Save the document, then close and re-open it. Convert the text to outlines.

Mark, there were several issues with Type on Path, and the team made some changes to mitigate it in the latest Beta version one can download from the CCD application. Can you please try to install it (it won’t remove your existing 27.7) and verify if it is fixed or not?
Also — can you please share the test file with this particular text object and share the settings you use when send this to the PDF printer?
