Where to begin?
The progression of Illustrator over the last 2 years has become maddening. Im sure this will never be read but having come to the end of my tether i need to say something somewhere. Firstly, at work, i use the same size image and format to start 99.9% of all my work. Yet every time i open illustrator, i have to put thoise dimensions in manually, in the recent section is just has 3 standard sizes (one of which is only ever used in the US, i am not in the US)
Secondly, every time i open illustrator it reverts to essentials layout, to which i have to switch it to essentials classic and reverts to the dark theme.
I realise i can set these things manually in the settings but whats the point of a recent section if it doesnt have the document i have created 900000 times.
You have made export for web unusable and export for screens mean i have to label everything 20 times.
And now youre getting rid of Creative Cloud Documents.....I cannot explain how frustrating this is. Your synced files system is not good enough, its confusing in the way it previews anything and for my £60odd a month i want to be able to have local copies on all my devices and have them sync to the other devices. I cannot understand how you think this is in any way better or even the same.
All your recent changes seem **** bent on using AI tools when they are certainly not ready in the example of generative art - youre so far behind the rest its laughable, why even bother??? Has you seen midjourmey?? Theyre way aheadDo the things you do well, better.
Given all of this i am growing more and more inclined to undertake a course in Serif or something similar. Given that your subscription fees are so high i cannot see the value in ******* off thousands and thousands of paying creators to try and get this "new user, exciting features" policy out.
Adobe were the tech company to look up to, now its an absolute mess. Lets not even start on photoshop, indesign and after effects.
Incredibly annoyed designer.
