Strokes on text area, fill disappear
Not sure if this work as intended, but it seems a bug to me and it does not allow using text areas elements. and strokes.
I need to apply a silhouette stroke to a whole group of elements.
I add a stroke, and I move it as the last effect in the aspect panel. This work for every group of elements, symbols and etc. Expect with groups containing text areas with filled background. In this case infact the stroke is removing the color fill from the text area.

I need to add external strokes to groups continaing text areas and I cant.

Yes Egor! It's a workaround.
It's quite tricky because I have multiple strokes and I hope in the future it will be compatible with text area color fill. But it works.
It's quite counterintuitive but using with object styles I can improve the workflow. Thanks

I confirm.
Tried to find a way to 'bake' the fill into the appearance stack, but every trick I tried failed — the fill of the area type gets ignored anyway. The only way I can offer so far is to apply a fill to the to the area type object (not the path), put in under the characters, and convert it to a tight rectangle with Convert to Shape > Rectangle effect.
The only problem is the protrusion above, but it can be remedied with choosing a different First Baseline value in Type > Area Type Options, like Legacy, Leading, or Em Box Height. Please try it, and thanks for the report!
